Contributor Ethan Everton provides an in depth analysis of the lyricism and subject matter backed by production from Shady Records’ Mr Porter, New Jersey’s Nemisis, Canadian Nick Zervos and Australian Chase Moore of the duo Hippie Sabotage, summarizing :

Unrestricted, untamed and compact with vivid differentiation, he will strike chords with both mainstream and underground hip-hop audiences. His lyricism speaks volumes about his experience, while as a debut album it purposely portrays the level at which Kid Vishis is currently working.

They are the latest to run the rule over the debut album by Detroit rapper Kid Vishis, the younger brother of Slaughterhouse veteran Royce da 5 9, and have afforded “Timing is Everything” a 4 star rating. Contributor Andrew Kay opens with the question “by being Royce’s kid brother, the question remains: is he a credible chip off the old block?“.

He then goes through the tracks produced by Mr Porter, Chase Moore (Hippie Sabotage), Nemisis and Nick Zervos before concluding “no one can fault the execution of making an album that says more than what’s on the tin – Kid has his own style, differing from his more established brother. But on the face of this, he’s in his own lane and on his way to a very credible career with (hopeful) longevity and much success.
