Long Beach rapper Matt Maddox, currently based in Kansas in America’s mid west, releases his second solo album Righteous Fury on 25th February, four years after his solo debut “Asylum Artistry”

Been some time in the making, however he’s been on the heavy grind recently, releasing two official videos and a single in quick succession and putting together a live performance schedule for the year including an appearance at SXSW, a tour with Slaughterhouse and dates in the UK, Europe and Australia.

The ex Guerilla War Tactix member is recognized for his trademark raw & raucous delivery style, a verbal onslaught of wordplay and lyricism while working with a range of quality international producers. UK online multi genre magazine Musiceyz took a listen through Righteous Fury and found it to represent the key hip hop musical elements to the max.

The album which releases via Red Phone Records & Seven 13 Music includes features by Tragedy Khadafi, Reef The Lost Cauze, King Magnetic, the UK’s Edd Bundy, Swann and cuts throughout by DJ TMB, while production comes courtesy of The Snowgoons’ Sicknature, Skammadix, Jedi Mind Tricks’ C Lance, Vanderslice, Nemesis, Hellzwind, Engineer and Sultan Mir. Although 19 tracks long, it still comes in at under an hour in running time – a no nonsense, good ol’ fashioned hip hop banger from start to finish

The international iTunes pre order link is http://georiot.co/3ILt and expect to read much more about the release in the weeks ahead. Meantime, check out his single “Street Art” featuring Tragedy Khadafi, produced by Skammadix with cuts from DJ TMB

Two more British online magazines are the latest to run the rule over the new album by West London rapper & producer Apex Zero’s debut solo album “Reality Provoking Liberation” which released on 28th October

Multi genre Musiceyz and urban music specialist AH 25 Eight Entertainment like many before them have endorsed the young emcee’s rhymes, powerful delivery and conscientious approach which addresses many of the political and social issues affecting large sections of society today

The influences of artists such as Wu Tang, Immortal Technique, Nas, dead prez, Public Enemy, Klashnekoff, Phi Life Cypher and Skinnyman are evident in terms of the traditional values of hip hop lyricism, but also has a unique production style drawn from a wide spectrum of musical genres which lends itself to an edgy and at times aggressive full on attack to the senses.

Direct and to the point, he’s drawn an appreciation from an impressive range of media titles, and the latest reviews can be read at:
