Eastcoast rapper / producer duo Tone Chop & Frost Gamble released their album “Respect Is Earned Not Given” in September featuring Kool G Rap, Planet Asia, DNA and Tragedy Khadafi.

While in NYC last month they appeared as guests of DJ Eclipse on his Sirius XM “Rap Is Outta Control Show” a few days before Frost released his “Rare Fabric” EP with Tragedy Khadafi and his remix of the Kid Vishis single “Go Off” featuring Royce da 5’9″.

The pair are back with a brand new joint “Chop ‘Em Up [Freestyle]” made available as a free download today, the battle hardened rapper delivering a salvo of his trademark punchline bars over Frost’s bass heavy beats that kick like a mule.

Once rap battle rivals growing up in Binghamton during hip hop’s Golden Era, the pair developed the kind of bonds that stay strong through the years. Immersed in the culture, the original graff artist and b-boy have seen their stars rise in the past year, first through their “Veteran” EP released in November 2016 and more recently with their album “Respect Is Earned Not Given” which includes guest featured artists Kool G Rap, Planet Asia, rap battler DNA, Canadian upcomer White Rhino and Tragedy Khadafi.

Since inking his deal with Miami label 22 Entertainment, Frost has emerged as one of the fastest emerging producers in the game. US online “Da What” run a “Five Finger Discount” series where artists highlight five of their tracks for special mention, providing insight into how they were recorded, the concept behind them and why they were of particular importance to their careers.

The latest in the series to be published focuses on Detroit rapper ZotheJerk and NY state producer Frost Gamble (now relocated to Winnipeg) who are set to release their new album “Black Beach” on May 26th

NY State rapper Tone Chop and producer Frost Gamble released their “Veteran EP” in November last year.

Still enjoying coast to coast airplay for their single “Leave It Alone”, a tribute to the late Sean Price, the pair are now back in the lab working on an album and have today released the new video “Yes He Can”. Directed by Big Drew Grafix, the Binghamton battler delivers another salvo of his trademark punchline bars over Frost’s raw kicks and snares.

Chop will also appear on “Black Beach”, the new album produced by Frost in collaboration with Detroit rapper ZotheJerk. Out on May 26th, it also features KXNG Crooked, Boldy James, Sadat-X, Young Bleed and Guilty Simpson.

Late last year, Winnipeg based producer Frost Gamble dropped by the Trendkill Productions studio to check in with local rap battle league Dragon Battlez.

The new video just published begins with the regular DBZ Hotbox Cypher, Frost Gamble providing the beat for local MC’s White Rhino, Bayle, CJ the Grey and Bangem – and those boys got skillz !

This is followed by an in depth interview with the beatmaker, discussing his relocation from Binghamton in NY state and his history there with rapper Tone Chop, the pair having just released their new EP “Veteran” in November

From the EP is the single “Leave It Alone”, a tribute to the late Sean Price featuring Ruste Juxx and Nobi, and Frost explains the concept behind the track and how it was put together before going into more detail about his signing with US label Seven 13 Music & entertainment and the plans for 2017.

Long Beach rap group Horseshoe Gang will be live in the Homegrown Studios tonight, Thursday July 21st, from 8pm PST as guests of the HGR Live Show.

M.I. and DJ Cutt from Constant Deviants visited the Guerilla Grooves Radio Studio in The Bronx at the end of June as part of their weeklong stay in NYC promoting the release of their new album “Omerta”

Video footage of their interview and M.I.’s freestyle on the show has emerged. The interview goes further into the group’s history, their work in the past with artists such as Rick Ross, the concept behind the new album and M.I.’s move into film making.
