The Brick City trio performed at Newark’s “24 Hours of Peace” event recently, headlined by Rakim with further appearances by Marley Marl, DAS EFX, Smif n Wessun, DJ Evil Dee & Roxanne Shante, and in the past month have been guests of DJ Eclipse on his Halftime Show on WNYU and Rap Is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM.

Brick City tro Riq da Kid, Tru Trilla and Prince AK – aka 050 Boyz – released their debut album “Everything 050” on 4th August.

It includes contributions from many long term associates including sole producer Clinton Place and featured artists Treach (Naughty by Nature), DoItAll (Lords of the Underground), Famiil (Rottin Razkals), IB the Druid, B Wells, Tha Advocate, Trilly Trills and many more from the Garden State scene.

It remains a busy time for the group who are still conducting interviews with the world’s media, and coming up in the next few days you will have two opportunities to see and hear them performing live.

This Friday, August 28th from 6pm EST, they’ll be appearing at the 5th “24 Hours of Peace” event held in Newark, New Jersey to promote a positive message of unity in the community. The location of Clinton Avenue between Bergen Street and Osborne Terrace was specifically chosen as it is where in August last year five people were killed in a gang related incident.

The event runs a full 24 hours from 6pm Friday to 6pm Saturday, and will also see performances by Rakim, DJ Marley Marl, DAS EFX, DJ Evil Dee, Smif n Wessun and many more. If you’re in the area, it’s not to be missed

On Sunday 30th August, they link up once again with DJ Eclipse this time as guests of his Rap Is Outta Control show which broadcasts on Sirius XM from 10pm EST to midnight. The group always make for a lively and entertaining interview, so make sure to tune in and listen live at www.siriusxm.com

They will also be future guests of J Hart and his Big Bang Show on the UK’s Break London shortly, and on Friday 25th September, will be dropping into to see the legendary DJ Premier as guests on his LFHQ show on Sirius XM

Despite releasing their fourth studio album “Avant Garde” on 12th May, it’s remained a busy time for veteran hiphop duo Constant Deviants

The have just wrapped the filming of their new movie “Six2Six” and Emcee M.I. released his solo project “Psychedelic 60’s”, available as a free download HERE

They also spoke with London’s Rough Online Magazine recently where they discussed a variety of issues including first of all the new album, then the changes in the hip hop industry they’ve witnessed over the years since they started out in the mid 90’s.

The interview moves on to Sadat X’s comments to Jack Thrilla about “grown man hip hop” and the perceived resurgence of hip hop which owes more to the Golden Era’s values, before they outline other musical genres which influence their production style
