The latest in the “Easy Listening” Mixtape series by Berlin’s DJ Easy has just been released.

Volume 32 includes joints by Punchline & Confidence, Talib Kweli & J Rawls, Mic Bless, Kaimbr, Big Noyd, Awon, A-F-R-O & Stu Bangas, MC Lyte, P Tha Villain and many more.

Hosted by New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla, a number of tracks from his album “XVI : Return of the Gods” released in May this year through New Dawn Records are also included.

As announced by New Dawn Records today, their first of several releases scheduled for 2023 comes courtesy of Edinburgh hip hop producer Brelstaff who laces us with his trademark concoction of chilled, soulful, lofi hip hop vibes with further influences of progressive rock, jazz fusion and ambient electronica fused together effortlessly in an ethereal soundtrack that focuses minds and soothes souls in equal measure.

“Urban Testimony [The Instrumentals]” drops on April 28th, and is the pre-cursor to the full vocal version, a collaborative project with Brooklyn rapper Justo the MC, which is due for release in the autmn preceded by a series of singles.

The label have just published a Video Trailer and Audio Teaser for the album on Youtube and Soundcloud

The album will be available on all major digital platforms including Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal Music and Amazon Music. Official videos for each track will also appear on the label’s Youtube channel upon the album’s release.

New Dawn Records have rounded off another busy year by releasing a new mix, a mash up of some of their best known single releases from 2002 to 2022.

“New Dawn Records – The Singles [Mixdown 22], includes some of the classics from back in the day by the Belles in Monica crew with remixes by Krash Slaughta and G-Sharp, select gems from last year’s albums “God of Barz” by New Jersey’s Tru Trilla and the award nominated “Panacea” by London duo Phoenix da Icefire, and of course the straight bangers from this year’s “Lead by Example”, the debut production from London’s Ramson Badbonez featuring hip hop heavyweights from both sides of the Atlantic.

Released today through New Dawn Records, the new album “Dopeliss” by rapper and producer Az Izz of legendary New Jersey group The Outsidaz.

Together with Pace Won, Young Zee, Rah Digga and D.U., the Brick City crew were noted for their work with The Fugees, Wu Tang and a new emerging force from Detroit, D12.  More recently pursuing a career in tv, film and sports music production, Az has returned to the hip hop fold with his first major solo album in several years.  Largely self produced with additional contributions by Qua Z Mo, DJ 3rdRell and DJ Profluent, the guest featured artists include several of his fellow former group members and further luminaries from the local independent scene including Drift, Rube the Difference and Jaja Kenyatta.

From boom bap to hard driving electronic beats, the production maps the evolution of the east coast sound underpinned lyrically by the traditional art of storytelling, street life, aspirations and struggles.  Back in the game with another flag planted for the Garden State, essential listening.

Brick City rapper and producer Az Izz of the legendary Outsidaz crew is on the comeback trail with his new album “Dopeliss” releasing through New Dawn Records on July 3rd.

London’s rapper & producer duo Phoenix da Icefire & Husky Brown warm up for the release of their phenomenal new album “Panacea” on May 5th with this new single “The Humans are Coming” b/w “Travelling Buddy” out today through New Dawn Records.
