Brick City rapper Tru Trilla has released his new EP “The Seymour Chronicles” today through New Dawn Records.

Entirely produced by another New Jersey native Joey Loax, there also guest appearances by fellow 050 Boyz group members Prince Ak and RIQ together with long time affiliate Fly Kwa.  

Singles “Warzone” and “20 to Life” have enjoyed heavy airplay rotation worldwide over the past month, a reflection of the hard bars and quality rhymes all four lyrical marksmen deliver over classic east coast gritty productions. 

The EP is the prequel to Tru’s bangin’ new album “God of Barz” out on May 29th which includes production by local luminary Clinton Place, Chicago’s DNA Beatz, Barcelona’s Sumerio Square and Chat One from the UK.  Rammed full of killer joints, it’s one to mark in the diary for all hip hop connoisseurs.

Relaunched last year after a 15 year hiatus, hip hop label New Dawn Records have confirmed today that they will be releasing a new EP and album by New Jersey’s lyrical marksman Tru Trilla over the next few months.

In an official statement published this morning, the label commented

“We relish the prospect of working with an artist of Tru’s caliber and style which represents perfectly our direction of travel as we enter an exciting new phase since re-launching last year.”

We at UrbanElite PR have of course worked with Tru Trilla previously in 2015, then as a member of the 050 Boyz group as they released the classic album “Everything 050”

The worldwide media coverage and radio airplay reflected the appreciation and quality of the rhymes skills, lyricism and dope production, and ultimately led to both DJ Eclipse & DJ Premier inviting them as guests on their Sirius XM shows.

Tru’s new releases feature his 050 Boyz sparring partners Prince Ak and RIQ, and also include many of his long term Brick City affiliates on vocal and production duties, beginning with the new EP “The Seymour Chronicles” which releases on March 17th, the precursor to “God of Barz” which drops May 29th

Produced entirely by another New Jersey native Joey Loax, the EP represents the classic east coast sound while Tru, Prince Ak, RIQ and Fly Kwa all deliver their trademark fierce rhymes, hooks, hard bars and lyricism. An already heavyweight under card before the main event later in the year, the label have just launched a video trailer for the EP on Youtube

Taken from the EP, the singles “Warzone” and “20 to Life” will be released during February

The first of four specially commissioned EP’s to mark the re-launch of New Dawn Records after a 15 year hiatus, hip hop crew Belles in Monica release “Y’All in Meltdown – Lazarus EP Volume 1” on April 26th.

A combination of their classic singles “Y’All Under Surveillance” and “Meltdown” made available for the first time in digital format including remixes by legendary DMC finalist DJ Krash Slaughta and Phi Life Cypher beatmeister DJ Nappa with further contributions by producers G-Sharp, Gripper and London turntablist DJ Mr Thing.

“Sapientia EP” by Underground Cartel is an international hip hop collaborative project spearheaded by producer Kruze and featuring male & female rappers from the USA, UK, Europe and Africa. Included in the line up are from the States, Swiss Precise (KBH), Black Market and The Yukonn MC, the UK’s Rapstation host Mr. CRF, Beni Blanco from French crew Originaire du Sud, Madrid’s El Meswy, and the late, great, Primo Brown from Italy’s Cor Veleno.

North London rapper Da Flyy Hooligan released his new album “S.C.U.M.” through Miami label 22 Entertainment on October 27th.

The follow up to his EP “F.Y.L.P.M.” released earlier in the year, the album is produced entirely by the UK’s Agor and features Westside Gunn and Hus Kingpin.
