Originally from Long Beach California, and currently based in Kansas, rapper Matt Maddox follows up the release of his debut solo album “Asylum Artistry” in 2010 with the long awaited sophomore “Righteous Fury”

Due out on 25th February via the partnership of Red Phone Records and Seven 13 Music, the 19 track hip hop banger – which comes in at just under an hour in running time – has been previewed at the UK’s online platform Rawroots, long time established for covering homegrown and international artists with news, features, videos and releases.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the classic album “Critical Beatdown”, Ultramagnetic MCs are touring the UK and Europe in July

Hailed as one of the early innovators of the sampling techniques employed by producer Ced Gee, the release influenced future generations for years to come. On tour will be Kool Keith, Ced Gee and T R Love, their first as a group in Europe since the release of the album, and will be an extremely rare opportunity for fans to see the legends perform the classics live.

Latest review of Melanin 9’s debut album “Magna Carta” comes courtesy of William Sterling for the UK’s general entertainment online magazine What Culture

Picking up on the versatility of this London emcee’s wordplay, subject matter and use of various production styles, the review acknowledges the fact that “considering its the first LP from M9, its quite an accomplishment“, concluding “as far as the genre goes, its hard to get much better than this”
