France’s Les Petites Chroniques is a boutique online covering all genres of music with an emphasis on new artists with a fresh sound. As the name suggests, they provide short, snapshot reviews by way of a recommendation to their readers

They are the latest to give their endorsement to the new album by Cincinnati MC Buggs tha Rocka and his album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet which releases on 10th December 2014. Summarizing the elements of the album which ticked all the right boxes for them, they state “we love the flow, the collabs, and especially the overall ambiance, the clever mix of jazzy samples, and especially the female contributions throughout.

The album is heavily represented by local artists, with features and production from Phoenix Aphrodite, Tanya Morgan, Hop Trax, Piakhan, Aida Chakra, MOOD, Sal Dali together with contributions by !llmind, Jake One and Chuck Inglish.

The release is a pre-cursor for several new recording projects and a planned international tour in 2015, much of which is in the works now. Buggs has also been busy filming a series of new videos for the project as well as speaking with members of the international media about his release, the results of which you will see over the coming weeks.

London based I Am Hip Hop Magazine produce a print version of their publication as well as having their online platform, and have also started a new radio show on the city’s Westide FM every Thursday night from 11pm

They sat down with Cincinnati’s Buggs tha Rocka recently to discuss his new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet” which releases on 10th December. They delve into his early days starting out in the industry and chart his progression as an artist to the point where he is now performing at Festivals such as A3C, SXSW and the recent Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, and touring with Talib Kweli. He cites his major influences, thoughts on the importance of lyricism and his own approach to recording, finishing by outlining his aims for the future

This is a busy time for the MC. While conducting a series of interviews for international press and filming new videos from the album, he has also been performing at A3C in Atlanta, at the Reflection Eternal Reunion show in Cincinnati, opening for Bone Thugs n Harmony and appearing with Mac Miller at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in LA.

One of the longest running onlines in the UK specializing in hip hop music, BritishHipHop.co.uk, jumped on the phone with award winning Cincinnati MC Buggs tha Rocka recently in the lead up to the release of his new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet” on 10th December

Speaking with the site’s Ethan Everton, Buggs spoke about his development from the early days to touring & performing at festivals with Talib Kweli, and how their relationship grew. He discusses the writing process for the new album, the various themes behind the concept and how he invited producers such as !llmind, Jake One, Sal Dali and Hop Trax, and featured artists Chuck Inglish, Tanya Morgan, Piakhan, MOOD to appear.

He then addresses his thoughts on life as an independent artist, whether in Ohio specifically or in the world of hip hop more generally, commenting on the effect the power of the internet now has and the predominance of lyricism compared to the mainstream.

Buggs has had a busy few weeks recently. He has just completed another series of interviews with various international press publications, and performed at A3C in Atlanta with Talib Kweli, the pair teaming up again with Hi Tek at the Reflection Eternal Reunion Show in Cincinnati, opening for Bone Thugs n Harmony and then performing with Mac Miller at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles on 8th November.

Cincinnati’s Buggs tha Rocka jumped on Skype recently to chop it up with London’s Kix Magazine

Afforded the title “Hip Hop Artist of 2014” by the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, the MC spoke with the publication’s Pedro Shippuden about his new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet” which releases on 10th December 2014.

The 19 track album includes production by !llmind and Jake One, guest features by Tanya Morgan, Piakhan, MOOD and Chuck Inglish as well as many local Ohio artists, and is the first solo release since his “Wrath of Zeus” mixtape he released with DJ Clockwork. It is also the pre-cursor for a series of new releases in 2015, and as such will be available as a free download from his official website at www.buggstharocka.com
