Stranga the Great from US online Hip Hop Vibe sat down with Julius, Dice, Demetrius and Kenny – aka Horseshoe Gang – to chop it up with the group about various topics in the lead up to the release of their new album “Anti Trpa Music” on April 29th. It will be available from iTunes HERE

In this feature the group discuss how they first came together, their early influences and the role their elder brother KXNG Crooked (Crooked I) played in their development, they speak on their well publicised rap battle with Hopsin’s Funk Volume last year, the writing and recording process with the new album and they also talk more on the track “Shoe-icide Squad” where they address police brutality in line with the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement.

West coast rap crew Horseshoe Gang release their new album “Anti-Trap Music” on April 29th through Seven 13 Music & Entertainment.

They hit the headlines last year picking up the $500,000 rap battle challenge laid down by Funk Volume with their Half a Meal response. Hopsin spoke more on this to DJ Vlad TV in the past couple of days

The Long Beach group, featured over the past few weeks in a wide range of publications in the States, UK and Europe, are joined on this new single “Intro” by the elder brother KXNG Crooked. Danish production duo Jonathan Elkaer and DJ E.D.D.E.H. provide the electronic backdrop over which all five MC’s unleash their fierce lyrical firepower.

Latest interview feature on west coast rappers Horseshoe Gang, this time in US online publication The ReUp Spot.

Here they explain the tie up with the label Seven 13 Music & Entertainment through their previous work with Royce da 5′ 9″, Kid Vishis, KXNG Crooked and early involvement with the phenomenan that became Slaughterhouse.

They discuss their new album “Anti-Trap Music”, the concepts behind it and the recording process involved, and then give further insight into their well documented rap battle last year with Funk Volume and Hopsin’s subsequent break away.

The group recorded “Half a Meal” in response to Hopsin’s $500,000 open battle challenge announced on Sway in the Morning, and sat down with DJ Vlad to talk more about it in late summer last year.

Last week, they released the third single from the album. “Shoe-icide Squad” is their statement on the #BlackLivesMatter issue and was produced by Tabu (Kendrick Lamar, Aftermath)

Their singles “Shoe-icide Sqaud”, “Crooked I Robot” and “Poverty Slogans” are available to buy from iTunes where the album itself can now be pre-ordered HERE
