Shortly before releasing his new EP “Verbal sWARdz”, north London rapper & producer Iron Braydz sat down with British publication Flavour Magazine which is edited by ex Just Fabulous TV presenter Annika Allen.

He spoke with Delphina Scott about the new release and a variety of subjects including performing in London with RZA, his involvement with Triple Darkness, the hook up with Prince Po, his progression as an artist and expectations for the future, ethnic diversity, or lack of it in the Metropolitan Police Force, the event which led to him claiming “Hip Hop saved my life”, his acting role in the new film “Nightbus” and much more

Iron Braydz releases his Verbal sWARdz EP on 14th April, and has just launched this new video for the self produced track “Dredd”

The EP, the first of a series of releases planned by the North London MC over the next year, includes features by several of his fellow Triple Darkness members in addition to Kyza, Skriblah, Organized Konfusion’s Prince Po and Sean Price

Also look out for Braydz appearing in a new independent film “Night Bus” later in the year, directed by Simon Baker who picked up several awards for his “Paralympic” series for Channel 4.

Representing Washington DC & the DMV, Barking Caucasians celebrate the release of their new album “General Freshness” with the launch of their new single “Crack The Silence”

Having released his debut solo album “Reality Provoking Liberation” on 28th October, London rapper & producer Apex Zero took time out recently from preparing for his forthcoming launch party to speak with Sam Bass from Under City Lights (UCL) Magazine

Here he speaks on the process of putting the album together and the social & political content covered in his lyrics, his future plans as part of the hip hop duo First and Last and the music scene within London generally

The album launch event takes place this Saturday, 7th December, upstairs at The Vibe Bar, 91 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, London E1 6QL. The night runs from 8pm – 1am, nearest tube station is Aldgate East (a 5 minute walk east of the venue), entry price is £5.00 on the door and photo ID is advised in line with most venues’ current policy.

Apex will be playing tracks from Reality Provoking Reality with a live band, and anyone familiar with his involvement in the group The Pantheonz of Zenn-La will know to expect a highly energetic show!

Also performing will be Caxton Press, Iron Braydz from Triple Darkness and spinnin ’em on the decks will be DJ A.Gee from the city’s re-established hip hop radio station Itch FM. Hosting the event will be Peaches.

It’s certain to be a big night of quality live music, one all real hip hop heads won’t want to miss
