Long considered as one of the most creative and gifted lyricists at the forefront of the UK’s burgeoning rap scene, he also spent time in NYC where early comparisons dubbed him “the new Slick Rick” while working with the late Sean Price, Sav Killz, Prince Po and Dead Prez.

Harlesden’s Da Flyy Hooligan has been at the forefront of the burgeoning UK rap scene for a number of years and has been long regarded as one of England’s most gifted and creative lyricists.

He also spent some time based in NYC and has worked with the calibre of Sav Killz, Hasan Salaam, Prince Po, DV Alias Khryst, Dead Prez, the late Sean Price.

In a rare step for a British rap artist, he has signed with a US label for the release of his new album “S.C.U.M.” in the shape of Miami’s 22 Entertainment. Out on Friday 27th October, guest featured artists include current Stateside luminaries Westside Gunn and Hus Kigpin.

From the album he has released the singles “Savile Row” & “Distress Signals” plus an official video for the track “Asantihini”. Earlier this week he also released the video “Velvet Cake” lifted off his EP “F.Y.L.P.M.” released earlier in the summer.

New single by Da Flyy Hooligan, “Distress Signals” produced by Agor features Long Island’s Hus Kingpin and is the second to be taken from the album “S.C.U.M.” releasing October 27th through 22 Entertainment whose back catalogue includes Royce da 5’9″, Fashawn, KXNG Crooked and Joe Budden.

Long established at the forefront of the UK’s burgeoning rap scene, DFH also spent time in NYC as part of J-Ronin’s “All Elements” clic and worked with US artists Sav Killz, Prince Po, Dead Prez, Hasan Salaam, D.V Alias Khryst and the late Sean P. Under previous incarnations, Miami based 22 Entertainment operated as a record label, distribution partner and production company releasing a wide range of urban and rock genres.

Notable landmarks includes their involvement in assisting the early development of what would become rap supergroup Slaughterhouse, and in 2011 they released Royce da 5’9″‘s “Success Is Certain”, the most successful independent rap album of that year.

A restructure and re-brand in the past year has seen the label sign a worldwide physical and digital distribution deal with Sony’s “The Orchard” who recently took over Sony Red’s operations. The international media coverage of the new “Verbal sWARdz” EP by London’s Iron Braydz continues with this 4 star review by French online “Hip Hop Reviews by Sagittarius”

Previously unaware of the artist, the reviewer opens that “truthfully this is a great discovery which I now share with you“. Written in French (obviously), it cites the influences of Wu Tang and the traditional values of hip hop throughout the record, “with lyrics sharper than Japanese knives” and reflects on the international flavour of the release due to features by London’s Triple Darkness, Kyza and Skriblah, and US artists Prince Po, Sean Price & Phat Kat : “Many of the features are local, and the international connections are legendary”
