Detroit rapper ZotheJerk and NY state producer Frost Gamble (now resident in Winnipeg, Canada), release their new album “Black Beach” on Friday May 26th 2017.

Politically charged, it’s Zo’s perspective on today’s “Black America” addressing issues which gave rise to the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement, the pivotal role of strong paternal figures in raising their children while also presenting an optimistic & aspirational vision of the future.

Crate digger Frost, now emerging as one of the most prolific producers around, brings a diverse array of sampled breaks and beats to match the mood swings, incorporating classic soul, jazz and hip hop hooks to set the perfect backdrop.

Italian online magazine Rapmaniacz have just published a review ahead of release HERE

“Black Beach” releases through 22 Entertainment and is available to pre-order on iTunes

Omerta-RapmaniaczReview

Baltimore MC M.I. and New Jersey producer DJ Cutt – aka Constant Deviants – released their fifth studio album “Omerta” on June 28th.

The duo who first formed while they were based in Brooklyn followed last year’s critically acclaimed “Avant Garde” by adding an additional twist with this year’s album, applying a theme throughout based on their respective Italian and Russian heritages.

The “mob” references are metaphorical, juxtaposing lifestyles by adopting the roles of Luciano and Lansky who shared their nationalities. A series of short stories demonstrate situations in a comparative way rather than the hackneyed “mafiosa rap” of the past.

Fired up by a raucous beat, the pair go on a verbal rampage delivering knockout punchlines aimed at their targets with ferocity and on point precision. Lyrical tradecraft from two of Michigan’s hip hop heavyweights.

Vishis made the joint available as a free download today, an act of appreciation for his fans’ support of his debut album “Timing is Everything” which released on 22nd July 2014 to worldwide critical acclaim.
