New Dawn Records round off 2022 with this new track which after yet another turbulent year will help soothe the soul.

During the summer, the label released producer Shahin’s remix of “Lame Duck” featuring New Jersey rappers Tru Trilla, Fly Kwa and Prince Ak.  He has now returned with a new bonus cut, a soundscape drawing on his own cultural and historical influences which blends electronic chillout and lo fi hip hop with a fusion of Nubian strings, woodwind, hypnotic keys and ethereal voices.

Set sail with Anuket on a journey of enlightenment into the new year…….and breathe.

After a 15 year sabbatical, hip hop label New Dawn Records returned to the fold this year, and are wrapping up 2019 with the release of the fourth & final EP in their initial relaunch series while also preparing to announce a release schedule for 2020 by new signings from the USA and UK.

Earlier this year, the initial relaunch series included Underground Cartel’s “Sapientia EP”, an international collaboration featuring artists from the USA, UK, Europe and Africa, and hip hop crew Belles in Monica’s “Y’All in Meltdown” and “Natsukashii” EP’s.

Out on December 6th 2019, Krash Slaughta vs B.I.M. ” ’18 Showdown ” is a collection of remixes produced by the legendary turntablist, DMC finalist and II Tone Committee member for Belles in Monica. Included are joints only ever previously available on vinyl together with some newly unearthed gems, all of which will be available to stream and download for the first time.

During the summer, the label re-released a limited number of their classic 12″ vinyl releases available direct from their STORE and from the new EP, the single “What D’Ya Need” drops digitally on November 19th.

Visual and audio teasers of the new EP have just been published on NDR’s Youtube channel and Soundcloud page, both of which contains more accompanying information about the EP

Hip Hop crew Belles in Monica released their new EP “Y’All in Meltdown” on Friday, the first time their classic singles “Y’All Under Surveillance” & “Meltdown” have been made available together in digital format, and includes all the celebrated remixes and turntablism by G-Sharp, Phi Life Cypher’s DJ Nappa, Krash Slaughta, DJ Mr Thing and Gripper.

VAST AIRE – “THE CANNON OF SAMUS REMIX” ft Kenyattah Black and Context MC

A new August 2011 exclusive remix of Vast Aire’s “The Cannon of Samus” featuring Kenyattah Black & the UK’s Context MC. Produced by AreWhy, the original version appears on Vast’s album Ox 2010 : A Street Odyssey out on Man Bites Dog Records now. The album also includes features from Cappadonna, Raekwon, Vordul Mega & Guilty Simpson on The Verdict, a track which also recently had a recent UK remix featuring Haze from Eurogang.

In early autumn Vast will release a new EP of remixes and B-Sides “A Space Iliad”. Context MC is one of the biggest emerging talents in the UK right now, getting huge support for releases such as “Off With Their Heads” and his current release “Listening to Burial”
