Latest review of Melanin 9’s debut album “Magna Carta” comes courtesy of William Sterling for the UK’s general entertainment online magazine What Culture

Picking up on the versatility of this London emcee’s wordplay, subject matter and use of various production styles, the review acknowledges the fact that “considering its the first LP from M9, its quite an accomplishment“, concluding “as far as the genre goes, its hard to get much better than this”

West London’s Mystro has just released his long awaited debut album “Mystrogen” on his own “Don’t Bizznizz label, afforded a front page feature on iTunes last week.

A long respected figure in the UK hip hop scene for over a decade, he’s become well known in recent times for being the first to provide a “Fire In The Booth” for BBC 1Xtra’s Charlie Sloth, helped kick start the online series “Rapper Tag UK” and has provided the BBC with the annual “UK Rap Up” for the past 3 years.

Renowned for his mix of wordplay, punch lines, social commentary and humour, the album released on 10th September reflects his full range of skills. Production contributors include Black Einstein, fLako, Show N Prove and Firstman with features provided by Homeboy Sandman, Junior Reid and Lloyd Brown.

The latest off the album is “That Rush”, produced by former beatsmith for The Creators Si Spex

Latest review of Copywrite’s new album “God Save The King (Proper English Version)” which releases on Man Bites Dog Records on 7th August

This one is in Rago Magazine, run by the guys from Wolftown Recordings, Tricksta & Late.

Those boys have been involved in UK hip hop for many years and consistently been putting out their own products internationally as well as running the magazine, several different blogs and various other ventures. Respect the grind
