RighteousFury-SBTV

For anyone outside of the UK unaware, SBTV have developed in the past few years from a website uploading freestyles from new upcoming artists in London to the biggest youth broadcaster in the country, with a mix of exclusive videos, interviews, & news covering independent homegrown artists to Major international established names.

Developed by young entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, the site has grown in its range of reporting to now include reviews, and they are the latest to endorse the new album Righteous Fury by west coast rapper Matt Maddox.

Released on 25th February through Red Phone Records / Seven 13 Music, it has already enjoyed a wide range of international media coverage reflecting the quality of lyricism on display from the emcee himself, assisted on mic duties by Tragedy Khadafi, King Magnetic, Reef the Lost Cauze, Adlib, Burke the Jurke and many more, including the UK’s Edd Bundy.

Fellow Red Phone labelmate DJ TMB supplies the turntablism throughout with quality production from Skammadix, Sicknature of The Snowgoons, C Lance of Jedi Mind Tricks, Vanderslice, Nemesis, Engineer, Sultan Mir and Hellzwind

SoulOnFire-SBTV

The UK’s leading online youth broadcaster SBTV was set up by young entrepreneur Jamal Edwards a few years ago while still in his teens. For overseas readers, he built the site up from filming freestyles of new artists all over London, throwing them up on Youtube, and the view rate was literally massive.

Fast forward to today and he still supports the UK scene but also has content from some the biggest international artists around. When he’s not mixing with Virgin owner Richard Branson or Prince Charles, he’s appearing on BBC Breakfast TV promoting his new book. It has been quite a phenomenal rise for a brand now valued in the millions on the stock market. If you didn’t know the name before, research it!

His in house team also provide news, features and reviews, and the site’s Fiona Guest is the latest to run the rule over the new album by ethemadassassin. Most associated with Greensboro NC, the now LA based rapper released his third solo album “Soul on Fire” on Tuesday 17th September.

The review is headed “a potent mixture of lyrical agility and social consciousness” and is summarized “Soul On Fire is a mature drop from a seasoned MC, with a breadth of experience and skill under his belt. If you’re ready to hear the emotional realness of what E terms his ‘book of life,’ give it a listen.” Read the whole review HERE
