“Respect Is Earned Not Given” includes guest feature artists Planet Asia, online rap battling sensation DNA, Tragedy Khadafi (with whom Frost is recording a new album), Canadian upcomer White Rhino, and on the first single “Walk the Walk” releasing June 30th, the legendary Kool G Rap.

The new album is the follow up to the pair’s critically acclaimed EP “Veteran” released in November 2016 which included the single “Leave It Alone”, a tribute to the late Sean P ft Ruste Juxx and Nobi.

New single “My Negus” released today by Detroit rapper ZotheJerk featuring legendary Random Axe frontman Guilty Simpson.

It’s the second to be taken from his new album “Black Beach” produced entirely by Frost Gamble, a prolific beatmaker originally from NY State but now based in Winnipeg, and follows “Risk vs Reward” featuring Sadat X.

Out on May 26th, the album also features KXNG Crooked, Boldy James, Young Bleed and Tone Chop. Politically charged, the themes are Zo’s perspective on today’s “Black America”, an MC in receipt of a “Humanitarian of the Year” award for mentoring work in the community. Detroit rapper ZotheJerk and NY State producer Frost Gamble who is now based in Winnipeg Canada released their new video “Axe Somebody” last week.

A bonus cut, it follows last month’s official single “Risk vs Reward” ft Sadat-X taken from their forthcoming album “Black Beach” out on May 26th. On “Axe Somebody”, Frost takes it all the way back on the beat, the renowned booming funky drummer break underpinning Zo’s high octane delivery with Big L sampled on the hook.
