In the week leading up to the release of their fourth album “Avant Garde”, Baltimore & New Jersey duo Constant Deviants sat down with Riley Wallace from Above Average Hip Hop for a quick session to chop it up about the new release, the current hip hop scene, plans for the future and their work with European label SWC Records with whom they released the movie “Swiss Banks earlier this year”

Emcee M.I. also jumped on the phone recently with French DJ JHart who is currently based in London but has produced video content for Cyclones Mag (France) and BReal TV (USA) in the past.

He broadcasts his Big Bang Show every Friday night on the UK’s Break London Radio station from 8pm – 10pm (GMT) / 3pm – 5pm (EST).

The duo will be releasing a new single next week with the third & final episode of their “3Stylez” freestyle video series following soon afterwards. They are currently conducting further interviews with the media, recording tracks for a future release and in the early stages of filming a new movie.

Emcee M.I. and DJ Cutt, aka Constant Deviants, released their fourth album in six years last week.

“Avant Garde” released on their own Six2Six Records label, and as with all of the labels’ releases through the years is available worldwide in digital, vinyl and CD formats. Visit their online store HERE

The veteran duo are currently in the early stages of filming a new movie and recording a follow up release which may be out before the end of the year. In the meantime, they will be releasing a new single and launching the final episode of their “3Stylez” video series over the next few weeks

In April they released two bonus cuts which were recorded between their last album Diamond and Avant Garde. Although neither “Just Make Music” or “Thinkin” feature on any of their official releases as yet, they may appear on a special edition planned for sometime in the future given the reaction they’re currently receiving from DJs.

Constant Deviants celebrate the 20th anniversary of releasing their debut 12″ single “Competition Catch Speed Knots” next year, and last week released their new album “Avant Garde”.

It is their fourth album in six years since officially re-forming in 2009 and setting up their own Six2Six Records label. Whether you prefer digital, vinyl or CD formats, all can be bought or ordered HERE

They’ve received an impressive level of public & media support in the past couple of months for both the quality of the album and their general approach which still draws strongly from the traditional elements of hip hop but for a modern age.

GUESTS ON THE NOT 97 SHOW 13TH MAY

Last week, Emcee M.I. and producer DJ Cutt were in New York and dropped by the GID Radio studios in Brooklyn to appear as guests on the Not 97 Show hosted by Mic Handz and the Smokin Aces crew. Also appearing were Tragedy Khadafi, El Da Sensei, Jake Palumbo and Nutso. It’s filmed and streamed live every Wednesday night from 10pm EST.
