Binghamton rapper Tone Chop & producer Frost Gamble, now relocated to Winnipeg Canada, release their new album “Respect Is Earned Not Given” tomorrow, Friday September 29th through Miami label 22 Entertainment.

It’s the follow up to their “Veteran” EP released in November last year at which time the pair spoke with The Word Is Bond Rap Radio Show host Chase March about their careers to date and future plans.

With the new release imminent, they all caught up again earlier this week to discuss the album and the developments over the near past year which have brought them to this point. The “dynamic duo” speak about having featured artists such as Kool G Rap on the album, the poignant story behind the track “Bing Stories”, Chop’s view on current rap addressed in “It’s Hip Hop” and “Beat Knocking” and introducing classic hip hop artists, music and history to their children.

While outlining their future plans together, Frost goes on to speak about his other projects including the release of the album “Black Beach” with Detroit’s ZotheJerk in May, his new collaboration EP with Tragedy Khadafi “Rare Fabric” in October and a new solo project releasing early next year which includes guest artists KXNG Crooked, Rah Digga, Skyzoo, Ras Kass, Guilty Simpson and Ruste Juxx.

Host Chase March spoke with him ahead of the release of his new album “Black Beach” produced entirely by Winnipeg based Frost Gamble on Friday May 26th.

During the interview they discuss how being outspoken can be both a curse and a blessing, the importance of life-long learning, being authentic in hip-hip music and culture, the N-word, and much, much more. NY State rapper and producer combo, Tone Chop & Frost Gamble, go all the way back to their days as rap battle rivals during the late 90’s before Frost re-located to Winnpeg, Canada and focused solely on beatmaking.

They released their first official collaborative project on November 18th last year, the “Veteran” EP being a warm up for their plans in 2017.

Binghamton’s DJ Gee Swift has just produced this banging remix of the entire EP and uploaded it to Mixcloud in the past couple of days. Check it out

Last week M.I. and DJ Cutt from Constant Deviants were in New York for a busy schedule of radio interviews promoting their new album “Omerta” which released on Tuesday June 28th through Six2Six Records.

It is being distributed worldwide on vinyl and CD formats from July 15th through Fatbeats, and is available to buy now as a digital download direct from the label’s BANDCAMP

On Wednesday June 29th, having been in Brooklyn to guest on DJ Bazarro’s Beatminerz Radio show, they then travelled through to New Jersey to drop in on DJ C Reality, Greystoke, Mateo and Dave Rock at Flip The Script Radio.

With their new album “Omerta” releasing this week, Constant Deviants have had a busy schedule of guest appearances on a variety of radio shows.

First up, rapper M.I. jumped on the phone on Monday night with Atlanta’s G.O.A.T. Show hosted by KB, JozeyWells and AK.

Broadcast on Raw Radio, they discuss how the group was first formed and the role of the DJ in modern day production, given in Constant Deviants’ case that producer DJ Cutt employs all the traditional turntablist skills. They also discuss touring, issues around show promoters, discrepencies between the US and European markets and of course the new album itself.

The following night, as the album released, M.I. and DJ Cutt headed through to The Bronx and were live in the Guerrilla Grooves Radio studio with hosts Fred Ones and Rhinoceros Funk.

Now with a new significant move into the world of film making as an actor, writer and producer, he explains more about establishing Six2Six Films and his new film “Six2Six The Movie”. Starring Treach, Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee, it will be be screened at NYC’s The Hip Hop Film Festival in August.

On learning he is currently filming a new comedy movie “Can’t Live Without My Radio”, Chase takes the discussion onto the wider subject of hip hop films such as “Straight Outta Compton” and the increase in new independent films emerging.
