The international media coverage of the new “Verbal sWARdz” EP by London’s Iron Braydz continues with this 4 star review by French online “Hip Hop Reviews by Sagittarius”

Previously unaware of the artist, the reviewer opens that “truthfully this is a great discovery which I now share with you“. Written in French (obviously), it cites the influences of Wu Tang and the traditional values of hip hop throughout the record, “with lyrics sharper than Japanese knives” and reflects on the international flavour of the release due to features by London’s Triple Darkness, Kyza and Skriblah, and US artists Prince Po, Sean Price & Phat Kat : “Many of the features are local, and the international connections are legendary”

British online publication I Am Hip Hop Magazine met up with Iron Braydz recently in west London to discuss his new Verbal sWARdz EP which was released on his Unorthostract label on 14th April, available from http://braydz.bandcamp.com

The conversation did develop on, and Braydz speaks on hip hop generally, addressing the similarities and differences in the British and American scenes, the future of British hip hop and unity within it, business over artistry and the perception of hip hop in the wider community. North London’s Iron Braydz releases his new EP “Verbal sWARdz” tomorrow, Monday 14th April, the first of a series of releases in the coming year whether as a solo artist or as a member of London crews Triple Darkness and FuFu Gang.

North London Emcee and producer kick starts a busy 12 months with the release of his new EP “Verbal sWARdz” on Monday 14th April.

Long Beach rapper (currently resident in Kansas) Matt Maddox sat down with American online publication Face 2 Face Magazine recently to discuss his early days, starting out in Long Beach and then moving to Hawaii and the reasons behind that where he speaks openly about a number of family issues

As an artist who first picked up the pen at only 10 years old, he discusses the influences west coast and east coast hip hop artists have had on him, whether Dre, Snoop & NWA, or Nas and Wu Tang, and how a fusion of styles has led to him developing what he describes as a mix of “hardcore street rap & underground”

He discusses the transition of the politically focused content of his first album Asylum Artistry to a more personal perspective in the current release “Righteous Fury” and his desire to “empower people – not just be another number”
