RighteousFury-TheRapUp

Matt Maddox released his new album Righteous Fury on Tuesday 25th February 2014, the follow up to his 2010 release Asylum Artistry.

It is available on Red Phone Records / Seven 13 Music worldwide in digital and physical CD formats from a wide selection of online stores, and today The Rap Up premiered the official audio stream of the entire album

They also provided a snapshot review of the album which includes direct links to stores selling in both formats and is summarized :

Matt Maddox is the kind of guy who spits over booming drums, samples from The Godfather score and dramatic strings, and who does so with a voice that sounds like he chews rocks for breakfast. The kind of guy who’s had his full of a lot of the guys that have been dating hiphop and doesn’t like what they’ve made her do. If you decide to have a go at her, you’d better come prepared, ’cause Matt Maddox is the kind of daddy greeting potential suitors with a shotgun by the door. The kind filled with a Righteous Fury.

Now based in Kansas, Cali rapper and ex Guerilla War Tactix member Matt Maddox is hitting the ground running in 2014

With his first solo album in 4 years “Righteous Fury” due to release on February 25th, he will also be busy on the road. Scheduled to appear at SXSW, tour with Slaughterhouse and further plans to tour the UK and Europe all by the late Spring, he’s kicking the year off with the release of the new single “Street Art”.

Produced by Skammadix with quality turntablism courtesy of fellow Red Phone labelmate TMB, Maddox is joined on the mic by Queensborough veteran Tragedy Khadafi, as they take it in turns to verbally tear into the beat like knives through butter.

The album also includes features from King Magnetic, Reef The Lost Cauze, Swann and the UK’s Edd Bundy, with further production supplied by a host of names including Snowgoons’ Sicknature, C Lance (Jedi Mind Tricks), Vanderslice, Nemesis and many more. SoulOnFire-SBTV

The UK’s leading online youth broadcaster SBTV was set up by young entrepreneur Jamal Edwards a few years ago while still in his teens. For overseas readers, he built the site up from filming freestyles of new artists all over London, throwing them up on Youtube, and the view rate was literally massive.

Fast forward to today and he still supports the UK scene but also has content from some the biggest international artists around. When he’s not mixing with Virgin owner Richard Branson or Prince Charles, he’s appearing on BBC Breakfast TV promoting his new book. It has been quite a phenomenal rise for a brand now valued in the millions on the stock market. If you didn’t know the name before, research it!

His in house team also provide news, features and reviews, and the site’s Fiona Guest is the latest to run the rule over the new album by ethemadassassin. Most associated with Greensboro NC, the now LA based rapper released his third solo album “Soul on Fire” on Tuesday 17th September.

The review is headed “a potent mixture of lyrical agility and social consciousness” and is summarized “Soul On Fire is a mature drop from a seasoned MC, with a breadth of experience and skill under his belt. If you’re ready to hear the emotional realness of what E terms his ‘book of life,’ give it a listen.” Read the whole review HERE

You can buy the album now on iTunes HERE

Meantime, check out these bangers.
