New York State rapper & producer duo Tone Chop & Frost Gamble celebrate their three decades of working together with the release of the new album “Beautiful Foundations” on May 15th 2026 through New Dawn Records.

From the early days of recording demos in their Binghamton basement to becoming one of the most prolific partnerships in recent years with a quite phenomenal back catalogue of singles and EP’s in their armoury, the landmark release documents their journey and pays homage to the close bond built between the pair.

Immersed in hip hop culture from their teenage years, the album reflects their dedication to the true essence while embracing evolution.  Chop’s trademark hard bars, a legacy of his rap battle days, and Frost’s dynamic range of beats are bolstered throughout by a generous helping of turntablism courtesy of DJ Eclipse, Pa Pa Fresh and  DJ J Smooth.  Space is reserved for friends and allies by way of the special guest featured artists including The Bad Seed, Pf Cuttin, Decon Blu, Grea8gawd and Fresh I.E.

Released today, the first offering is the single edition of the title track featuring another native of “The Bing” Will K.  Chop sets the agenda reflecting on those first times working together as young and passionate kids still learning the ropes, sowing seeds for the future set to a potent soundtrack marinated with soul. Hip Hop label New Dawn Records have today announced that they will be releasing the new album “Beautiful Foundations” by New York State rapper and producer duo Tone Chop & Frost Gamble on May 15th 2026.

We first worked with the pair back in 2016 when they released their “Veteran EP”, then again the following year for their album “Respect is Earned Not Given”.

They enjoyed extensive media coverage worldwide for these releases, culminating in an appearance on DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM

This kick started a phase which has seen them become one of the most prolifc partnerships in recent years, with a quite outstanding back catalogue of singles and EP in their armoury.

The new album is a celebration of their friendship and working together for over three decades, and coincidentally will be released during the label’s own 30th anniversary year. It features many new upcoming artists from their hometown Binghamton together with those they’ve built with over the years.

Included are DJ Eclipse, Pf Cuttin, DJ J Smooth, Decon Blu, Pa Pa Fresh, The Bad Seed, Fresh I.E and The Bad Seed

The pair have also just completed filming a new documentary about their time together, from the earliest days of recording in their basement during the 90’s right up to the present day. We’ve had the fortune to have an advanced viewing and it’s a fascinating insight not only about their own story, but the development of hip hop itself over the years. Look out for that premiering just after the album releases next year.

For an early taste showcasing the quality of rhymes, beats and turntablism on display throughout the album, the label has just published an official video trailer on their Youtube channel.

Several singles will precede the album’s release, beginning with a special single edition of the title track on December 9th. All will be available to download and stream on digital platforms including Apple, Bandcamp, Spotify, Tidal and Amazon, while official visuals will continue to be published on the label’s Youtube channel.

Originally established in 1996 and relaunched in 2019, hip hop label New Dawn Records have packed a lot into the past 12 months.

The most recent development announced today is the launch of their new Bandcamp platform where, to begin with, their entire digital catalogue has just been made available to download.

Included are “Panacea” by London’s Phoenix da Icefire & Husky Brown, nominated for “Best Independent Album” at this year’s AIM Awards, “God of Barz” & “The Seymour Chronicles” by New Jersey’s lyrical marksman Tru Trilla with production by Spain’s Sumerio Square, the UK’s Chat One, Chicago’s DNA Beatz and LA’s Clinton Place aka Jamal Nueve, and “Dopeliss” by rapper / producer Az Izz of legendary New Jersey group The Outsidaz featuring Pacewon, D.U. and Drift.

Some of the label’s classic original releases made available in digital format for the first time more recently can also now be downloaded including joints “Y’All Under Surveillance”, “Meltdown” and “Skitzophonetic” by hip hop crew Belles in Monica, together with DMC finalist and turntablist supreme DJ Krash Slaughta’s remixes of the groups tracks via the “18 Showdown EP”
