London duo Phoenix da Icefire and Husky Brown release their new album “Panacea” through New Dawn Records on May 5th, distributed by Ingrooves / Universal.

As a member of Triple Darkness, Phoenix has long been regarded as one of the most gifted lyricists from the UK.  In the new album he addresses some of the most pressing current issues covering the environment, mental health, racism, knife crime and aspiration in a highly creative and skilled narrative.  Husky’s productions are a rare and fresh fusion of contemporary hip hop, electronica, dub, bass, r&b and soul, resulting in a dynamic and highly impressive soundtrack.

First single released today is a double A side already enjoying heavy international airplay. “Cosmic Soul” has the South London rapper on a shamanic journey over a hard hip hop beat, while “Seasons of You” is a soulful r&b floor filler featuring Natalie May (as heard on Rudimental’s “Sexy Sexy”), remix courtesy of Soul Brother Juice.   Available to stream and download from APPLE, AMAZON, DEEZER, NAPSTER, TIDAL and also streaming on Spotify and Soundcloud

The “Panacea” album launch party will take place at London’s Brixton Jamm on Friday May 8th, in association with Hoochinoo Events. Connect with the pair on Twitter @PhoenixdaFire & @Husky Brown and on Instagram @PhoenixDaIcefire & @HuskyBrown.Official

London’s DJ, producer & artist DJ Enme is the latest UK talent to go international.

While running his own Sumting New / Blitz organizations on the home front, he is signed with California’s La Dubstep Nostra imprint, making him labelmates with the legendary Cypress Hill & Soul Assassins producer DJ Muggs.

Currently working on a new dubstep album planned for global release in 2012, he also draws on his background in hip hop, rap & grime, best represented here in the single “Hustler”

Originally released in October 2011 with remixes from El-B (dubstep), Nterpol (breakbeat) & a special re-work from Los Angeles’ 6Blocc, this special 2012 refix sees London heavyweights Dot Rotten and Ether L Banks joined on the mic by one of the biggest movers in the UK Asian underground scene, MC Shizzio.
