VerbalSwardz-Fabricate

The latest review of the new Iron Braydz EP “Verbal sWARdz” has been published by British online Fabricate

The north London Emcee & producer has put together a very strong 10 track release, which also features Prince Po, Triple Darkness, Sean Price, Kyza and Skriblah, and the new review written by Ethan Everton reflects the quality on display

Snapshot passages from the review :

Back to dominantly instil fear into weak MC’s and shed a wealth of knowledgeable insights, Iron Braydz marks his return on April 14th with his Verbal sWARdz EP…..throughout the EP, Braydz induces terror over dark, bassy instrumentals, spitting without compassion or empathy through a multitude of immodest verses….compiled full of lyrical devastation, with too many unnerving & aggro verses to count. Full of quick-fire rhymes, intricate verbal frenzies and perspectives worth pondering, we shall be watching Iron Braydz future movements ready for when he decides to unleash the beast that patiently resides within him

VerbalsWARdz-Blacksheep

North London Emcee & producer Iron Braydz release his new Verbal sWARdz EP on 14th April, the first since his 2012 mixtape Holla @ Braydz

The first of a series of new solo releases over the next 12 months for the newest member of Triple Darkness, he will also be appearing in a new independent film “Night Bus” directed by Simon Baker who picked up several awards for his “Paralympic” series for Channel 4.

British online hip hop magazine Blacksheep are one of the first to run the rule over the 10 track EP, and the review, afforded a 4 star rating opens with a desription of Braydz as having “talent to spare: verbally dextrous, insightful, passionate, determined with playful wordplay; enough to set him aside from the competition.

A track by track synopsis follows before reviewer Andrew Kay summarizes “Verbal Swardz conjures up memories of classic Wu-Tang Clan with retro samples and drum patterns, with additional complexity in the production. Iron Bradyz is a talented and passionate MC- it comes across every time he rhymes. There’s a lot going on here and this deserves to be consumed by those who love a proper U.K MC thinking outside the musical box.

RPL-BeardedMag

British online publication Bearded Magazine sets out “to generate coverage for independent labels & artists regardless of genre, background or how fashionable they are

They do just that via features, interviews, reviews, news, videos and their editorial policy isn’t driven by any other factor other than if they feel the artist merits the support. They are the latest, via guest contributor Leland Gill, to take a listen through the new album by London’s rapper and producer Apex Zero.

“Reality Provoking Liberation” is his debut solo album, out on 28th October, having previously released and performed live as part of the duo First and Last, who are still very much in force, and the group The Pantheonz on Zenn-La. Apex Zero’s reputation for conscientious lyricism delivered with a fierce flow developed in these early days and is still very much evident in the new album

The article opens “While other artists brag about changing the game, Apex Zero aims higher in his mission to wake up the world and educate them on the many corrupt systems in place today. In Reality Provoking Liberation, he pulls no punches in his lyrics as he spits about current inequality and organising to forge a better world” which in itself is as good a summary of the overall vibe to this album as any yet made. It’s a mix of this and other key factors which has made this such an impressive debut solo release, one picked up by a wide cross section of the media, and you can read more about the magazine’s thoughts on it HERE

The album launch event will take place upstairs at The Vibe Bar, 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL on Saturday 7th December from 8pm – 1am. Also appearing will be Caxton Press, Iron Braydz, DJ A.Gee (Itch FM) and host Peaches. Price is £5.00 on the door and the nearest tube is Aldgate East. More about the venue can be found at www.vibe-bar.co.uk

You will also be able to hear Apex Zero live on radio shortly, starting with tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd October on Reprezent Radio from 8pm with Tarek, on Saturday 26th October from 8.30pm with DJ Sammy Jay on Itch FM, and with Mr 13 on Bang FM from 10pm on Tuesday 29th October. Always makes an interesting interviewee, so definitely catch that if you can!!

Meanwhile, take a listen to the single off his album A Meeting of the Continents featuring Hasan Salaam and Iron Braydz, and be on the lookout for a brand new video for Absolute Zero being launched in the next couple of weeks
