In what was an enthusiastic & fun exchange of views, the pair spoke about his writing process….and the key role Fiji Water, Monster Energy Drink & chicken plays in the pre-studio process!….the construction of the album and reasons for working with a core group of producers this time around, the thinking behind the album’s title and how it represents where he feels he is as an MC now.

They also discussed how the influence of not only Royce da 5’9″ but all 3 of his brothers played when he started our rapping and how that came about, his views on the depiction of hip hop today and why he feels “Hip Hop lost its respect, its pride, its honor. TimingIsEverything-SagittariusHH

It’s now nearly 2 weeks since Detroit MC Kid Vishis released his debut album “Timing is Everything” on Seven 13 Entertainment.

The younger brother of Royce da 5’9″ has enjoyed widespread international media coverage over the past couple of months, most recently by France’s online Sagittarius HH who have just published a new review which can be read HERE

Written in French, the review reflects on the fact that other than his brother on the final track “Coward”, there are no other featured artists, however “It represents his pedigree with an impressive lyrical density to the point that he has no need for guest appearances.” and presenting the explanation that as this is his debut, and clearly a deliberate approach this time around, it may be “because we feel that Timing is Everything is a very personal work.

The review also reflects the fact that the album is not necessarily what is expected, with only one Detroit producer, Mr Porter, providing beats along with California based Chase Moore, Canada’s Nick Zervos and New Jersey’s Nemisis, all of whom are providing a diversity of sound, even touching upon dubstep in the track “In Yo Face”, but never wavering from the core principles of lyricism & rhyme skills expected from a rapper influenced by the best from the Golden Age of hip hop.

Available internationally on Itunes & Amazon in digital format, CD’s of the album can also be bought directly from the label at www.seven13ent.com Check out the official audio stream on Soundcloud

Look out for further press coverage coming from the UK, Europe & USA in the next couple of weeks, including a special video feature in France’s Hip Hop 4 Life in the next few days. As is inevitable these days, we’re aware that some free download torrents have appeared on the internet. While piracy is a sad fact of life these days we would take this opportunity to warn the public that our I.T. consultants checked those which have appeared to date. They found that the mp3 files had been corrupted and that the links also contained malicious software, or Malware viruses, so please consider carefully before downloading from such sources. Only files available from official stores are of full quality and free of any “bugs”
