Recipient of the title “Best Rapper” at the Ithaca Music Awards in 2019, Anthony Kannon has enjoyed a rapid rise in recognition as one of the most highly rated talents to emerge from NY State in recent years. 

His new album “Cautionary Tales” releases on October 20th a collaborative project with veteran producer Frost Gamble, originally from nearby Binghamton and now resident in Canada.

Local media outlets were quick to pick up on the story of his signing with New Dawn Records for the release including a feature in The Ithaca Voice newspaper, a report aired live on tv news station WENY and an interview broadcast on local commercial radio station Z95.5 FM.

The first single from the album “Pitfalls” released today and addresses his own personal growth.  An evolution from the hustles of his younger days to more progressive paths while struggling to escape past legacies, the funk fuelled beat lending itself to the air of optimism for the future.   As with the entire album, this is the classic art of real life storytelling set to the perfect soundtrack.

A new feature on west coast rap group Horseshoe Gang has just been published in US online magazine Rhyme Junkie.

Written by their contributor Peter Johnstone, it provides some background information on the crew before focusing on their album “Anti-Trap Music” which was released through Seven 13 Music & Entertainment on April 29th. By highlighting several of the tracks and their contrasting styles, the review notes the consistency in the quality of lyricism present throughout.

The article finishes by providing news of yet another new album due out in September called “4 Brothers”, designed as a limited edition release which will be available only from the label direct.

Just after the release of his debut EP “Ocean$” in May, Southern rapper & producer Ande Bishop sat down with London based online Rough Magazine for a “One on One” with their contributor Bunmi Adigun

The pair discussed the progression from producing for fellow American Roulette stablemate Londn Blue to picking up the mic since the turn of 2015 as he embarks on his own solo career, and the recording process of his EP.

He then goes on to talk about being invited onto Hot 97 and the public endorsement of his single “Old Jay Z Videos” by artists such as Rick Ross, the rapid expansion of public awareness both at home and abroad, and his future plans including the recording of a debut album in the not too distant future

Rising producer & rapper Ande Bishop releases his debut EP “Ocean$” on 19th May having recently signed a new record deal with Seven 13 Entertainment.

Having produced Londn Blue’s “False Hope” EP in 2014, he’s made an impressive start since switching focus to his own solo career at the turn of the year with a series of releases featured exclusively in The Source, Mechanical Dummy and JackThriller, while his first official video for his single “MoneyorFriendz” has been aired by MTV and VH-1. Even Rick Ross shared the stream of his single “OLDJAYZVIDEOS” on his own Soundcloud page.

He has just released this new bonus cut “Strictly 4 My Friendz” premiered a little earlier today by Elevator Magazine

Estimated by many as the “one to watch” from the new wave of Southern artists, Ande now shares his time equally between Atlanta and Alabama and has been busy recording new tracks for an album planned later in the year while conducting interviews with members of the international press. Look out for this kid.

JAMIESON : NEW VIDEO & SINGLE “Last Time I Saw You”

London’s Jamieson drops yet another freestyle and video, in what’s been one of the most prolific periods for output from this MC who in his own words is on his own “foreign exchange”, now on the hard grind in New York City.

He lets loose on this one “Last Time I Saw You” over a jumpin hip hop beat, and its always good to hear someone with the flow skills go in with the shackles removed.

He released the first track “I Told You So” from his new EP “I Came I Saw Volume 3” last week, with a lot more to follow in the next couple of months. He has been in the studio with various other artists recently, among them London’s super producer Beat Butcha, so it looks like being a busy 2012.
