London’s Apex Zero releases his new album “Reality Provoking Liberation” on 28th October.

It’s a fiery mix of driving hip hop beats, in the main produced by himself, and powerful delivery, lyricism and wordplay covering a wide range of political and socially aware subjects

The UK’s national multi genre music publication Clash Magazine includes a monthly Rapture & Verse column written by Matt Oliver. It’s a snapshot of the key news & releases over the past 4 weeks, and this month’s edition includes the Kendrick verse on Big Sean’s Control, the new Eminem Album produced by Dre & Rick Rubin, news on Doom, Madlib, Bishop Nehru, Black Milk, Dr Zygote, Jehst, Blaq Poet, Pusha-T, Akir, J-Zone, The Dopplegangaz, Abstract Butta Fingas and a lot more.

The new Rapture & Verse hip hop column written by Matt Oliver is live today in the UK’s Clash Magazine

In what’s been a huge summer of record releases & tours, the column is a summary of the month’s hottest news, mixtapes, videos and albums from around the world. In his first “Rapture & verse” column of 2013 for Clash Magazine, Matty Oliver has featured Los Angeles’ hip hop artist Malkovich and his free album “Great Expectations”

Distributed by UrbanElite PR to the media in early January, the tracklist includes some real bangers with production by Yamin of Clan Destined, Computer Jay, Josh the Goon and various featured artists including Gotham Green on “Get Away”

Another UK magazine takes time out to speak with Ohio’s Copywrite

This time, Jazz Gill gets on the phone on behalf of The Guestlist Network, one of London’s premier online and physical publications

Jazz is well known for his in depth reviews, features and interviews and here its no different. Addressing the international concept of the album, he also touches upon Copy’s religious beliefs and how that sits with his current work, the famous diss track with Asher Roth and comparisons with other white rappers such as Eminem

THE LOCK IN BLOG

We have just launched a new blog on Tumblr, “The Lock In”

As a company, Urbanelite Promotions have several online platforms on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, various blogs etc to help promote our international client base

We decided to launch a less formal platform on tumblr to highlight anything that entertained or interested us. This could be news, videos, tracks, sport, music industry “advice”, anything of any nature that we just felt like posting.

This will also be a platform for artists & labels, most likely involved in hiphop, rap, r&b, soul or any other form of “urban” music who we may not be directly involved with, but we like, to have their videos or tracks uploaded. Any artists interested in having their material or details of events added should check the site first, all the contact details are there.

As a taster, we have uploaded some examples, including a rare interview with Souls of Mischief & Sarah Love & “tour stories” from their time in the UK supporting the release of the album Montezuma’s Revenge, when we took D12 to meet Tim Westwood & news of their tour last year & dates in the Uk this year, and some other videos of Stateside & UK artists such as Copywrite, Vast Aire, Supar Novar, Depprooted & we’ll be adding more soon. We also uploaded a couple examples of our 8Tracks mixes featuring international hiphop artists we’ve been in touch with over the years.
