While in New York in July to take in the Total Slaughter event, Detroit MC Kid Vishis, the younger brother of Royce da 5’9″, hooked up with local online tv broadcaster The Beeshine as part of their “What Inspires…?” series.

The Beeshine have interviewed some legends in the game over the years, and took the opportunity to meet up with the Michigan rapper while he was in town also promoting his new album “Timing is Everything” which released on Seven 13 Entertainment on 22nd July. Latest to review the new EP “Verbal sWARdz” by north London rapper & producer Iron Braydz is US online Dead End Hip Hop

They have been a regular supporter of this release, publishing posts about video releases and the audio stream, and their contributor Samuel Odunsi Jr has a strong interest in hip hop with the classic elements of meaningful lyricism and superior wordplay combined with quality beats & production

British online publication I Am Hip Hop Magazine met up with Iron Braydz recently in west London to discuss his new Verbal sWARdz EP which was released on his Unorthostract label on 14th April, available from http://braydz.bandcamp.com

The conversation did develop on, and Braydz speaks on hip hop generally, addressing the similarities and differences in the British and American scenes, the future of British hip hop and unity within it, business over artistry and the perception of hip hop in the wider community. He is asked for his views on perceived racism in the music industry and society as well as his thoughts on the likelihood of a repeat of the 2011 London riots

North London’s Iron Braydz releases his new EP “Verbal sWARdz” tomorrow, Monday 14th April, the first of a series of releases in the coming year whether as a solo artist or as a member of London crews Triple Darkness and FuFu Gang.

He also continues his fledgling acting career with an appearance in a new independent film “Night Bus”, shot by British award winning director Simon Baker who made the Paralympic series for UK terrestrial tv station Channel 4.

Regarded for a number of years as one of the UK’s most skilled lyricists, the EP has generated widespread international media interest, and latest to review is British online publication Eye Know Hip Hop

An insightful synopsis of the 10 track release concludes “Verbal sWARdz is an exciting omen of what’s to come from the newest member of Triple Darkness. East coast veteran duo MI and producer DJ Cutt, aka Constant Deviants, have been turning out hip hop bangers since the mid 90’s.

While MI signed with Arista in 2000, Cutt worked with N.O.R.E. and Roc-A-Fella Records, and the worlds collided again when MI featured with Rick Ross on N.O.R.E.’s “Yup” in 2006.

The duo set up a new label, Six 2 Six Records, and the imprint grew a global reputation for releases with the classic hip hop sound on the classic vinyl format. Fast forward to today, and they have just released their new album “Diamonds” from which this new video “Its OK” is taken

The duo have already begun recording the follow up album, while MI is soon to release a new EP as part of Trilateral Commission, a collaboration with producers from the United States and Europe.
