With only 6 days to go until the release of their fourth studio album “Avant Garde” on 12th May, Baltimore’s Emcee M.I. & New Jersey producer DJ Cutt, aka Constant Deviants, sat down with the UK’s online publication Guestlist Network

In this latest feature they discuss their early days and time spent working with Arista and Roc-A-Fella, they speak about the development of their trademark sound over what’s been nearly 20 years since the release of their debut 12″ Competition Catch Speed Knots and outline how they operate as a group, Six2Six label managers and accomodate working on further seperate projects with international affiliates.

Fresh from appearing on Miami’s 4ManKind TV show last night, M.I. will be heading to NYC next week to meet up with DJ Cutt for a series of radio & media interviews. You will be able to hear them shortly on Florida’s Del City Radio, the UK’s Break London and NYC’s Beatminerz and Not97 Shows. They will also be releasing the third and final instalment of what’s proven to be their highly popular “3Stylez” video series next week with M.I. and DJ Cutt performing a straight, one take, live freestyle to camera

Earlier this week they released the bonus cut “Thinkin” featuring another from the Six2Six Roster, New York MC Rome. The joint was recorded between their last album “Diamond” and the current release. Check the stream out on Soundcloud :

Maintaining and evolving their musical approach since releasing their debut 12″ Competition Catch Speed Knots in 1996 has earned them international recognition throughout the years, and this latest endorsement is written by journalist Ryan Proctor who also runs his own online platform “Old To The New”

New Jersey & Baltimore duo Constant Deviants release their fourth studio album “Avant Garde” on 12th May, and to mark the occasion filmed a special trilogy of freestyles

“Heavy Artillery” was the first to be released from the “3Stylez Series” and was premiered by UK site Shout 4 Music as part of a feature they published on the group. Episode 2 entitled “Art of War” again sees DJ Cutt and Emcee M.I. performing live and direct, filmed in one take, and the video has just been released today.

As expected, the new album has generated a high level of media interest in the past couple of months. Their single “Breathin” was featured in the UK’s DJ Magazine and the pair have already appeared in multiple international publications with much more to come in the weeks ahead.

They will also be in NYC 8th – 14th May for a series of radio and press interviews, so you will see and hear a lot more of them shortly.

Rising Southern rapper and producer Ande Bishop releases his debut EP “Ocean$ – Extended Play” on 19th May having signed a recent record deal with Seven 13 Entertainment

Now operating out of both Atlanta and Alabama, the talented young artist first came to prominence for his work on Londn Blue’s “False Hope” EP before switching focus to his own solo career.

He began 2015 by releasing his first ever solo track “50 Centences” which was featured by The Source followed by “$77.43”, and the video for his first official single “MoneyorFriendz” was featured by both MTV and VH-1. The EP has just been previewed by French online Urban Tribune which you can read HERE

Earlier in the week, Ande released the second single “OLDJAYZVIDEOS” premiered by JackThriller.com. It’s already had around 10,000 plays in the space of 48 hours on Soundcloud. Check out the audio stream

Rising Southern rapper & producer Ande Bishop releases his debut EP “Ocean$ – Extended Play” on 19th May.

The recent signing to Seven 13 Entertainment first gained recognition for his production work on Londn Blue’s “False Hope” EP released last year before his first ever solo release “50 Centences” was debuted by The Source in January. Subsequent releases “$77.43” and “MoneyorFriendz” featuring on MTV and VH-1 have seen his fanbase in areas such as Alabama and Atlanta grow significantly in a short period of time, reinforcing his reputation as one of the hottest emerging talents from the region.

He has just launched the second single from his new EP, “OLDJAYZVIDEOS” produced by Taylor $upreme, premiered today by JackThriller.com. The official video for the track will be released in May.

The latest edition of the new online tv chat show “Rapping with Leiberman” has just aired on Youtube today.

Hosted by SiriusXM’s Jon Leiberman, the new show which invites rappers, producers and djs in to discuss the hot political and news items of the day is only a few weeks old, but has already featured Bishop Lamont and Constant Deviants emcee M.I.

Today’s guest is current Cincinnati “Hip Hop Artist of the Year” Buggs tha Rocka.

In this interview the pair discuss Buggs’ album Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet which released in December, lyricism in hip hop and whether “rap is dead” as well as his signing at the start of the year to Talib Kweli’s Javotti label.

They then move on to Obama and the upcoming US elections, the nuclear deal with Iran and American foreign policy, and then talk about racial tensions & profiling in Ohio in the aftermath of the Walmart shooting there last year. Linked to this they touch about the economic situation in the area which has seen a growth in unemployment and Buggs gives his thoughts to the question of the biggest problems facing black men in America today

Constant Deviants release their fourth studio album “Avant Garde” on 12th May through their own Six2Six label on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Been a busy time for the veteran Baltimore & New Jersey duo. Recently they released the film “Swiss Banks” with their partners in Switzerland SWC Records, completed filming of their freestyle series “3Stylez” and have been conducting interviews with a whole range of international media. Most recently, Emcee M.I. was seen on the new “Rapping with Leiberman” online tv chat show talking politics and hip hop with SiriusXM Host Jon Leiberman.

They have just dropped a bonus joint “Just Make Music”, recorded between albums and premiered by US online Straight Fresh as part of a new feature published on them today

In the interview the pair discuss the production process with the album down to the reason behind its title, and the decision to have only one featured artist Aye Wun appear. They then speak on how they first came together in the 90’s, and what brought them back together in 2009 after they had both worked in the major label sector, and the ethos behind the label Six2Six Records they set up at that time.

They also go into detail about the joint “Yup” they recorded with Rick Ross and N.O.R.E. in 2008, and provide details about how the film “Swiss Banks” was created, and give their thoughts on the current state of mainstream and independent hip hop as well as what has contributed most to their longevity in the game

SiriusXM radio show host Jon Leiberman recently started a new online tv talk show “Rapping with Leiberman” where he invites rappers, emcees and dj’s to come on and discuss current news and the hot political subjects of the day as well as outline what’s happening with their own careers

A recent guest was Bishop Lamont, and this week’s guest in only its fourth week running is Constant Deviants emcee M.I.

Latest signings to one of the USA’s fasting growing labels Seven 13 Entertainment, North Carolina duo Verbatim & D. White, aka OSPO Black recently released their new EP “The Paradox”.

The 6 track EP is the follow up to their “Paradox Introduction” mixtape released in the autumn which received an exceptional response generated largely by word of mouth resulting in over 150,000 plays in total on their Soundcloud page alone.

Taken from the new EP, the single “Get Down” was originally released in November but reached #9 in the Indie Urban Radio Charts during the first week of March 2015.
