Cincinnati’s Buggs tha Rocka performed with Talib Kweli recently at the A3C Festival in Atlanta and also at the special Eternal Reflection reunion show with Hi Tek, MOOD and DJ Clockwork, and then completed a series of interviews for international publications.

In this most recent feature, he sat down with Roberta Lampley for New Jersey’s Hip Hop Durso to discuss his new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet”, the influential role his family played in his first becoming involved in music, the artists which have inspired him the most and the developing scene in Ohio

British online Rawroots has reported on homegrown and international hip hop for a number of years now, and have featured the new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet” by Cincinnati’s Buggs tha Rocka, due for release on 10th December 2014.

Cincinnati’s Buggs tha Rocka returned to Atlanta for the second year running to perform with Talib Kweli at the A3C Festival 2014.

He documented his visit on film in this re-cap video which features appearances by Donte from MOOD, Kid Capri, Jay Electronica, Karen Civil, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Cyhi the Prynce, Losa and many others.

Some time earlier he sat down with Jaime Valero from Spain’s Hip Hop Life Magazine. In this interview they discuss why now appeared to be the right time to release his first studio album and the messages he’s conveying in the tracks, the influences which first played a part in him picking up the mic, the comparisons made between himself and his older brother, life & hip hop in Detroit, and as a boxing fan, how he’d compare the sport to the approach taken as an artist

They discuss his childhood growing up in Detroit and what made him gravitate towards hip hop, and specifically taking the further step to becoming an MC. They talk about the early days of how he and his brother Royce da 5’9″ first started appearing on tracks, the messages being conveyed in the rhymes, the artists which have influenced him the most and his vision for the future
