British online publication DataTransmission is best known for it’s comprehensive coverage of the European dance music scene, reviewing releases, interviewing artists, reporting on events from across the continent

They also have a history of delving into other genres such as hip hop, and are the latest to review the debut album “Timing is Everything” by Detroit MC Kid Vishis, the younger brother of Slaughterhouse’s Royce da 5 9.

Contributor Ethan Everton provides an in depth analysis of the lyricism and subject matter backed by production from Shady Records’ Mr Porter, New Jersey’s Nemisis, Canadian Nick Zervos and Australian Chase Moore of the duo Hippie Sabotage, summarizing :

Unrestricted, untamed and compact with vivid differentiation, he will strike chords with both mainstream and underground hip-hop audiences. His lyricism speaks volumes about his experience, while as a debut album it purposely portrays the level at which Kid Vishis is currently working.

The article is yet another endorsement among many publications who have covered the release in the past couple of months, opening “Potentially the rawest truths that you’ll hear on record for the remainder of the year, the philosophies behind the wordplay in Apex Zero’s almost entirely self-produced début album Reality Provoking Liberation is if anything a reflective experience for any listener.

It is in fact a very in depth appraisal of the album, delving into the finer points of the tracks and is summarized “As stated at the beginning, this is more than an just album to muse too. It’s intention is to bring about a new mentally aware consciousness that’s being prohibited in ways unimaginable.
