TimingIsEverything-RapEssence

Younger brother of Slaughterhouse member Royce da 5 9, Detroit’s Kid Vishis releases his debut album “Timing is Everything” on 22nd July. Out on Seven 13 Entertainment, it includes production by Mr Porter, Chase Moore (Hippie Sabotage), Nemisis & Nick Zervos and can be pre-ordered with autographed merchandise from www.seven13ent.com

US online Rap Essence are the latest to run the rule over the album, with a track by track analysis which is then summarized :

Kid Vishis really impressed me on here. He changes up the topics and subject matter on almost every song, while still coming with aggressive rhymes and boastful battle raps at the same time. This keeps the album feeling fresh and gives each of the songs its own unique identity, which is something that is missing from a lot of hip-hop albums nowadays

Prior to the album releasing, he is also due to launch a new mixtape which will consist of original tracks only, so look out for a number of audio & official video releases over the next few months as well as widespread international media coverage throughout the summer.

VerbalSwardz-DeadEndHipHop

Latest to review the new EP “Verbal sWARdz” by north London rapper & producer Iron Braydz is US online Dead End Hip Hop

They have been a regular supporter of this release, publishing posts about video releases and the audio stream, and their contributor Samuel Odunsi Jr has a strong interest in hip hop with the classic elements of meaningful lyricism and superior wordplay combined with quality beats & production

Picking up on the major influence Wu Tang has had on the artist through the years, the review reflects the mic skills on display as well as Braydz own production style :

I am a growing fan of the hip hop scene in the UK, including the battle rap league Don’t Flop, but I am always held in awe at the speed at which these rappers spit their lyrics. Iron Braydz is no exception. But like any good lyricist, Braydz isn’t just spitting for the hell of it…..All the bars said on this project by Braydz and the respective artists featured does indeed make this a verbal war….If you are fan of quality lyrics and that grimy RZA-inspired production sound, you need to listen to Verbal sWARdz.

VerbalSwardz-UKHH

Latest review of the new EP “Verbal sWARdz” by north London Emcee & producer Iron Braydz, this time by the long running online devoted to British hip hop UKHH.com

The high regard with which his lyricism has been held in the UK for the past few years is summarized

Regardless of the flavour, Iron Braydz always serves up rhymes that are of the strictly highest order. With the exception of a select few, including a couple of whom from his own clique, nobody comes close to his pure rhyming prowess at this point in time. One can only assume that the projects over the coming months will explore different terrain but, for now, it is pretty exhilarating to hear this guy back spitting full stop.

British online publication I Am Hip Hop Magazine met up with Iron Braydz recently in west London to discuss his new Verbal sWARdz EP which was released on his Unorthostract label on 14th April, available from http://braydz.bandcamp.com

The conversation did develop on, and Braydz speaks on hip hop generally, addressing the similarities and differences in the British and American scenes, the future of British hip hop and unity within it, business over artistry and the perception of hip hop in the wider community. VerbalSwardz-Bearded

British online publication Bearded Magazine covers many genres of music and has consistently championed new artists they feel have genuine quality and talent.

On the day of the release of his new “Verbal sWARdz” EP, they have published an introductory feature on north London Emcee and producer Iron Braydz which acknowledges the work he has put in to date, whether when based in NYC working with DJ J-Ronin’s All Elements crew, Sean Price, Guilty Simpson and Sav Kills, or via his previous landmark releases Devil May Cry and Holla @Braydz.

One of the UK’s most highly rated lyricists for a number of years, both at home & abroad and together with the rest of his Triple Darkness crew, the article reflects “True hip-hop in the UK is reserved for underground scenes and hidden-away locales. There’s not many who can take the style to the mainstream and retain integrity – Tinie who? – but if Braydz continues the way he does, there’s gonna be a helluva lot of people clamouring to get involved.

“Verbal sWARdz” is only the first of a series of releases planned from Iron Braydz in the year ahead – be on the lookout for this guy and check the full feature at Bearded Magazine

The EP includes features by Prince Po, Sean Price, Triple Darkness, DJ Shortee Blitz, Phat Kat, Kyza and Skriblah and is available now from Iron Braydz’ BANDCAMP
