Award winning upstate NY rapper Anthony Kannon and hip hop producer Frost Gamble release their new album “Cautionary Tales” through New Dawn Records on October 20th 2023

The pair have just announced two special launch events to mark the release

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA

The first takes place on Thursday 26th October at The Osborne Taphouse, 112 Osborne Street Winnipeg where Frost relocated from Binghamton NY some years ago.

Doors open at 8pm with entry on the night priced at $15.00 CAD, and tickets can also be purchased online at Eventbrite. Joining the pair will be special guests Kairo & Hoopaloop, Dag & Tek Pro, Serge Paul and DJ Benz. ITHACA, NY STATE

The second event takes place on Saturday November 18th at Deep Dive, 415 Old Taughannock Blv, Ithaca NY where Anthony will perform the entire album with a live band, joined by special guests Mr McBean, Brooklyn’s Justo the MC who will be performing tracks from his new album “Urban Testimony” out November 3rd, and Frost performing a DJ set

New Dawn Records have rounded off another busy year by releasing a new mix, a mash up of some of their best known single releases from 2002 to 2022.

“New Dawn Records – The Singles [Mixdown 22], includes some of the classics from back in the day by the Belles in Monica crew with remixes by Krash Slaughta and G-Sharp, select gems from last year’s albums “God of Barz” by New Jersey’s Tru Trilla and the award nominated “Panacea” by London duo Phoenix da Icefire, and of course the straight bangers from this year’s “Lead by Example”, the debut production from London’s Ramson Badbonez featuring hip hop heavyweights from both sides of the Atlantic.

New EP out today through the recently re-launched label New Dawn Records.

’18 Showdown’ includes all the remixes produced by the legendary turntablist Krash Slaughta (DMC Finals / II Tone Committee) for the Belles in Monica crew which were originally released on 12″ vinyl with the addition of new cut “Venom”.  All are now available to stream and download for the first time.

The DJ’s renowned production style fusing imaginative soundscapes, driving beats and immense scratch skills combine with storytelling rhymes and hard bars.  From the fuel injected funk and cutting frenzy of “Meltdown”, to the sinister tension of “What D’Ya Need” and the sonic chaos of “Resistance is Futile”, the EP is a rare collection of artistically expressive and powerful hip hop immersed in a golden era just as a new decade comes in to view.

Krash Slaughta continues to release new material and perform live regularly.  New Dawn Records will announce a new release schedule for 2020 by artists from the USA and UK shortly.
