Kid Vishis sat down with Dan Anwar from the UK’s Sabotage Times the day after the release of his new album “Timing is Everything” to give one of his most wide-ranging interviews to date

He described meeting J Dilla at the family home, spoke about the Detroit hip hop scene and artists such as Black Milk, Drake, Eminem and his brother Royce da 5’9″, he gave his thoughts on the rap battle scene, the authenticity of the film 8 Mile and the inaugural Total Slaughter event in NYC which he attended, and of course they discussed the new album which is available worldwide on iTunes and Amazon on Seven 13 Entertainment (www.seven13ent.com)

Detroit rapper Kid Vishis sat down with international online hip hop website The Rap Up recently, and in this filmed interview discusses his new album “Timing is Everything”.

He speaks on the primary inspirations behind it, subject matter and the recording process, as well as the inclusion of his brother Royce da 5’9″ as the only featured artist in the final track. He also explains how he feels his approach differs slightly to that of the Slaughterhouse legend and outlines his plans for the future.

British online publication Hit The Floor Magazine cover all genres of music, and their “Urban” department followed up their recent review of the album with an interview feature. Their writer Ali Ross spoke with Kid Vishis about his album and the topics he touches upon lyrically, the effect of being the younger brother of Royce da 5’9″ has had on his own career, the artists who influenced him in the early years and his plans for touring internationally.
