Kid Vishis sat down with Dan Anwar from the UK’s Sabotage Times the day after the release of his new album “Timing is Everything” to give one of his most wide-ranging interviews to date

He described meeting J Dilla at the family home, spoke about the Detroit hip hop scene and artists such as Black Milk, Drake, Eminem and his brother Royce da 5’9″, he gave his thoughts on the rap battle scene, the authenticity of the film 8 Mile and the inaugural Total Slaughter event in NYC which he attended, and of course they discussed the new album which is available worldwide on iTunes and Amazon on Seven 13 Entertainment (www.seven13ent.com)

Shortly before releasing his new EP “Verbal sWARdz”, north London rapper & producer Iron Braydz sat down with British publication Flavour Magazine which is edited by ex Just Fabulous TV presenter Annika Allen.

He spoke with Delphina Scott about the new release and a variety of subjects including performing in London with RZA, his involvement with Triple Darkness, the hook up with Prince Po, his progression as an artist and expectations for the future, ethnic diversity, or lack of it in the Metropolitan Police Force, the event which led to him claiming “Hip Hop saved my life”, his acting role in the new film “Nightbus” and much more

They have been a regular supporter of this release, publishing posts about video releases and the audio stream, and their contributor Samuel Odunsi Jr has a strong interest in hip hop with the classic elements of meaningful lyricism and superior wordplay combined with quality beats & production

London’s Apex Zero prepares for his Reality Provoking Liberation album launch party with the release of this brand new joint straight out the lab, “Transcendental Emcee”.

The debut solo album was released to wide critical acclaim on 28th October, and this new track brings a lil’ different flava courtesy of Frank Freeman’s production, while Apex displays his trademark skilled wordplay and lyricism

The launch event takes place this Saturday, 7th December, upstairs at The Vibe Bar, 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL. Apex will be showcasing tracks from the album with a live band, while there will also be performances from Caxton Press and Iron Braydz from Triple Darkness. On the 1’s & 2’s is Itch FM’s DJ A. Gee hosted by Peaches.

With some of the city’s finest talent in the building it’s sure to be a big night not to be missed by all hip hop heads in the area. Having already performed an exclusive freestyle video for leading British online hip hop site UKHH.COM some weeks ago, their contributor Ethan Everton has also now reviewed the album Reality Provoking Liberation which released on 28th October.

The article is yet another endorsement among many publications who have covered the release in the past couple of months, opening “Potentially the rawest truths that you’ll hear on record for the remainder of the year, the philosophies behind the wordplay in Apex Zero’s almost entirely self-produced début album Reality Provoking Liberation is if anything a reflective experience for any listener.”

It is in fact a very in depth appraisal of the album, delving into the finer points of the tracks and is summarized “As stated at the beginning, this is more than an just album to muse too. It’s intention is to bring about a new mentally aware consciousness that’s being prohibited in ways unimaginable.”

This latest coverage comes at the beginning of the week which finally leads up to the long awaited album launch party event. It takes place this Saturday, 7th December, from 8pm – 1am upstairs at The Vibe Bar, 91 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, London E1 6QL.

Apex has been busy in recent weeks fine tuning his set which will be performed with a live band. Also performing on the night will be Caxton Press & Triple Darkness member Iron Braydz. Itch FM’s DJ A. Gee will be on the 1’s & 2’s with Peaches the regular Hoochinoo host. Entry is £5.00 on the door with the nearest tube station being Aldgate East, around a 5 minute walk from the venue. It’s advised to bring photographic I.D. for the event in line with most venues’ entrance policy.

It’s sure to be one of the London’s hip hop events of the month, so definitely not one to miss for all hip hop heads in the area

Also look out for the release this week of a brand new track “Transcendental Emcee”, not on the album but especially recorded to mark the event.

Detroit’s Kid Vishis has just released the first single from his debut album which is due for release in March 2014 on Seven 13 Music.

The younger brother of Royce da 5 9 is no novice having started out in the city’s open mic circuit over 10 years ago, and first dropped some verses on the M.I.C. Vol 1 mixtape in 2003. Over the past 10 years he has toured the States, Canada and Europe with D12, Slaughterhouse and performed at shows with Slum Village, Rakim, Ghostface, Talib Kweli and Slick Rick.

Honing his craft live to international audiences and releasing multiple mixtapes including the “Sick ‘Em” series, as well as appearing on Royce’s albums “Street Hop” & “Success is Certain”, Kid Vishis has become one of the most respected lyricists of the next generation, and the album one of the most eagerly anticipated for many years. Production is courtesy of names such as Mr Porter & Freddie Foxxx, with the first single “Heaven” showcasing Vishis’ wordplay over beats by Nemesis

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the classic album “Critical Beatdown”, Ultramagnetic MCs are touring the UK and Europe in July

Hailed as one of the early innovators of the sampling techniques employed by producer Ced Gee, the release influenced future generations for years to come. On tour will be Kool Keith, Ced Gee and T R Love, their first as a group in Europe since the release of the album, and will be an extremely rare opportunity for fans to see the legends perform the classics live.

Ahead of the release of his first solo album in 10 years, “Lock’d N The Lab” due out late August, Bumpy Knuckles releases his new EP “The Mix Files” on 18th June as a joint venture on Seven13 Music and Krupt Mob.

Made up almost entirely of new material which will not appear on the album, it includes the previously released Ask the Coach, Word ft Sy Ari Tha Kid and this new single Somn’Wrong

Both the EP and album are entirely self produced by Freddie Foxxx. This will be a busy summer for Bumpy with the release of his EP, album and the putting together of a new UK and European tour for later in the year. He is also working on some further collaborations which should see the light of day in the coming months
