Second episode from the new “Tre Volte” live freestyle video series by east coast duo Constant Deviants.

“12 Gauge Rage” again sees M.I. and Cutt live in the studio reppin the traditional hip hop concept of an MC and his DJ, consistent with the theme of their recent bonus joint “Cutt for President”.

They release the new album “Omerta” on June 28th through their label Six2Six Records. A new film named after the label and featuring M.I., Treach (Naughty by Nature), Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee has been selected by Ralph McDaniels’ Hip Hop Film Festival for screening in August at the National Black Theater, NYC.

The group will be in NYC during the last week of June to meet with media and appear as guests on various radio stations, beginning Sunday 26th on DJ Eclipse’s Rap is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM.

Horseshoe Gang are fire live, and you can expect to hear some tracks off their new album “Anti-Trap Music” which released on April 29th. In the first hour of release, Amazon had sold out their initial CD stock, within the first week the album was Top 50 on iTunes charts in 15 different countries and it has now had over 100,000 streams.

On the 20th anniversary of east coast duo Constant Deviants’ classic single “Competition Catch Speed Knots”, they release their new album “Omerta” on June 28th. Recently, rapper and co:owner of Six2Six Records M.I. sat down with US online The 9 Elements as part of their “The Whole 9” interview series.

In this feature, he outlined the concept behind the new album and in particular the reasoning behind its recurring theme, while addressing the message being conveyed in the first single from it, “So Underrated”.

A major development for the label in the past year has been the expansion into the world of film production. The creation of Six2Six Films coincides with M.I.’s own move into acting, as seen in last year’s collaboration with European affiliates SWC Records and the release of “Swiss Banks”.

He will next appear in a movie named after the label but with a completely original storyline which also co:stars Treach (Naughty by Nature), Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee, and it has already been selected for screening at this year’s Hip Hop Film Festival in NYC.

New joint by east coast duo Constant Deviants who release their new album “Omerta” on June 28th.

“Cutt for President” is a bonus track recorded recently with MC M.I.’s instantly recognizable flows making way for generous sections of turntablism supplied by the man himself, DJ Cutt.

Baltimore rapper M.I. is currently in his home city filming scenes for a new movie called “Can’t Live Without My Radio”. He will also appear in a new film called “Six2Six” co:starring Treach, Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee, which has just been selected by the Hip Hop Film Festival to be shown in NYC in August.

Just announced, east coast hip hop duo Constant Deviants will be performing at the LoudPalooza event taking place in Baltimore on the night of Saturday, June 25th, 3 days before the release of their new album “Omerta”.

In association with Chief Loud and Maryland NORML, the event promotes discussion on the legalization of cannabis particularly for medical use with guest speakers including a retired major of Maryland Police and a Maryland State Delegate.

The entertainment is provided by local comedy and music artists, and with Constant Deviants’ MC M.I. being from the city, they were keen to give the event their full support.

The venue is Castaways Bar & Grill, 2206 Boston Street, Baltimore, MD 21231

Tickets are early bird $15 in advance with sponsorship bag included, $25 at the door and £35 V.I.P. which includes a free drink, Maryland NORML t-shirt and a free guest.

The following day, June 26th, Constant Deviants head north to spend a week in NYC meeting with media and appearing as special guests on various radio shows, starting with DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control. In the lead up to the release of their album “Anti-Trap Music” on April 29th, Horseshoe Gang, sat down with west coast online magazine Streets Connect.

In one of their most in-depth interviews to date, the group spoke on a wide range of issues. They outlined the recording process and how they select the different styles of production, and the whole ethos behind the meaning of their album title. This leads them onto the wider subject of lyricism in hip hop, and the positive and negative influences these have depending on how imagery is portrayed per genre.

Their track “Shoe-icide Squad” has been much heralded as their version of NWA’s “Fuck the Police”, taking a stand against police brutality and protecting their community, and notably choosing to speak out on this when others have backed down. As explained in the feature this comes from the influence of listening to artists such as Rakim and moves the conversation forward to Tupac’s legacy, the long lasting effect it’s had on them, and the the west coast scene to this day.

The discussion moves on again to touch upon their well documented rap battle with Hopsin’s Funk Volume, their plans to release a comic book series and they also go into more detail about their fanbase overseas, notably in the UK and Europe. A 4 star review, a rough translation of their summary reads “No fillers, mammoth firecrackers, Horseshoe Gang keep the quality high and to the point over 11 tracks.” with extended sections of the article given over to the theme of the album title, specifically calling into question the lyrical content and influence that particular genre has on a younger generation. The album itself diversifies into a range of subject matter, real life issues, which in itself justifies the title.

The four brothers Julius, Kenny, Dice and Demetrius aren’t sitting on their hands. They just had their album launch party in LA earlier in the week, are still conducting interviews with international media and making arrangements to shoot some new videos.

They are also in the early stages of organizing some tour dates while putting some studio time aside to record new material, quite possibly a new album for later in the year.
