It’s now nearly 2 weeks since Detroit MC Kid Vishis released his debut album “Timing is Everything” on Seven 13 Entertainment.

The younger brother of Royce da 5’9″ has enjoyed widespread international media coverage over the past couple of months, most recently by France’s online Sagittarius HH who have just published a new review which can be read HERE

Written in French, the review reflects on the fact that other than his brother on the final track “Coward”, there are no other featured artists, however “It represents his pedigree with an impressive lyrical density to the point that he has no need for guest appearances.” and presenting the explanation that as this is his debut, and clearly a deliberate approach this time around, it may be “because we feel that Timing is Everything is a very personal work.”

The review also reflects the fact that the album is not necessarily what is expected, with only one Detroit producer, Mr Porter, providing beats along with California based Chase Moore, Canada’s Nick Zervos and New Jersey’s Nemisis, all of whom are providing a diversity of sound, even touching upon dubstep in the track “In Yo Face”, but never wavering from the core principles of lyricism & rhyme skills expected from a rapper influenced by the best from the Golden Age of hip hop.

Detroit MC Kid Vishis has had a busy time recently, speaking with various members of the international media & press in the lead up to the release of his debut album “Timing is Everything” on 22nd July 2014.

Two of these have just been published recently, the first of which is with British online multi genre magazine AAA Music.

In this interview, part of their AAA Approved series, they ask him about what first inspired him to first pick up the mic and his releases and tours to date. They also talk about artists he’s feeling now, what unique qualities he brings to the game and his aspirations for the future.

In the second interview, he jumped on Skype with Canada’s The Underground Vault.

They discuss various aspects of his new album “Timing is Everything” and break it down as to the real meaning behind the track “Look at all my $hit”, they address the inevitable comparisons to his older brother Royce da 5 9 and how he is forging his own way ahead, he reveals plans to release a new mixtape and sophomore album in the near future and also gives his thoughts on the recent Dizaster / Math Hoffa battle

North London’s Iron Braydz releases his new EP “Verbal sWARdz” tomorrow, Monday 14th April, the first of a series of releases in the coming year whether as a solo artist or as a member of London crews Triple Darkness and FuFu Gang.

He also continues his fledgling acting career with an appearance in a new independent film “Night Bus”, shot by British award winning director Simon Baker who made the Paralympic series for UK terrestrial tv station Channel 4.

Regarded for a number of years as one of the UK’s most skilled lyricists, the EP has generated widespread international media interest, and latest to review is British online publication Eye Know Hip Hop

“M9 is a skilled wordsmith, he pairs together syllables that work well together, and the things he raps about are of social importance”

Scoring a very creditable 7/10, the UK emcee has consistently impressed with his trademark lyricism and wordplay, even with those who’s own preference may lie outwith the 1990’s Golden Era tinged influence in the beats and rhymes.
