Younger brother of Slaughterhouse member Royce da 5 9, Detroit’s Kid Vishis releases his debut album “Timing is Everything” on 22nd July. Out on Seven 13 Entertainment, it includes production by Mr Porter, Chase Moore (Hippie Sabotage), Nemisis & Nick Zervos and can be pre-ordered with autographed merchandise from www.seven13ent.com

US online Rap Essence are the latest to run the rule over the album, with a track by track analysis which is then summarized :

“Kid Vishis really impressed me on here. He changes up the topics and subject matter on almost every song, while still coming with aggressive rhymes and boastful battle raps at the same time. The UK’s Wordplay Magazine is published both online and in physical print, and covers the full spectrum of hip hop culture; music, graffiti, breakin, fashion and much more. Always worth picking up a copy of their physical magazine, usually on a quarterly basis, makes for interesting reading.

Their online version have just reviewed the new album by Detroit’s Kid Vishis. “Timing is Everything” is in fact the debut studio album by the younger brother of Royce da 5 9, and is out 22nd July on Seven 13 Entertainment.

Detroit’s Kid Vishis, younger brother of Royce da 5 9, releases his debut album “Timing is Everything” on 22nd July through Seven 13 Entertainment.

Before releasing the first of of his own “Sick ‘Em” mixtape series in 2007, he featured on his brother’s “Bar Exam” mixtapes, and later appeared on the albums “Street Hop” and “Success is Certain”. Touring initially as hypeman before developing freestyle slots and sets with his brother has seen him perform coast to coast in the States, Canada, the UK & Europe, sharing bills with D12, Slum Village, Rakim, Ghostface and Talib Kweli

Last year’s “Sick ‘Em Vol 3” included the joint “The Future” with Crooked I’s fam Horshoe Gang, and the new album includes production by Shady’s Mr Porter, Australia’s Chase Moore of the Californian production duo Hippie Sabotage, New Jersey’s Nemisis and Canadian Nick Zervos

Detroit’s Kid Vishis has just released the first single from his debut album which is due for release in March 2014 on Seven 13 Music.

The younger brother of Royce da 5 9 is no novice having started out in the city’s open mic circuit over 10 years ago, and first dropped some verses on the M.I.C. Vol 1 mixtape in 2003. Over the past 10 years he has toured the States, Canada and Europe with D12, Slaughterhouse and performed at shows with Slum Village, Rakim, Ghostface, Talib Kweli and Slick Rick.

Honing his craft live to international audiences and releasing multiple mixtapes including the “Sick ‘Em” series, as well as appearing on Royce’s albums “Street Hop” & “Success is Certain”, Kid Vishis has become one of the most respected lyricists of the next generation, and the album one of the most eagerly anticipated for many years. Production is courtesy of names such as Mr Porter & Freddie Foxxx, with the first single “Heaven” showcasing Vishis’ wordplay over beats by Nemesis

Germany’s The Snowgoons have had a big year in 2012 since releasing their Dynasty album in July via Babygrande Records

Producers DJ Illegal and Det have come a long way since starting out in 1999, and since being joined by Sicknature and J.S.
