The younger brother of Royce da 5 9 has teamed up with Sacramento producers Hippie Sabotage and Australian native Chase Moore, now also based in Sacramento, on this banger “Look At All My $**t” where Vishis verbally assassinates the fake ballers with no dollars
Coming hard on the heels of his recent “Heaven” release, it’s another early taster of the impressive wordplay and lyrical skills we can expect to hear on his debut studio LP which also includes production from Freddie Foxxx and Shady’s Mr Porter
Butta Da Prince first set the Chicago streets buzzin with the release of his 2009 Mixtape “Millionaire Minded : The Album Before the Album” produced by DJ Holiday. He worked with Holiday again on 2011’s “Butta” before releasing 2012’s “The King and Da Prince”, this time hosted by DJ Hustlenomics
Since then, Butta has teamed up with Seven 13 Music. They’ve just revisited the joint “Dolla Bills” from last year’s release to give it the remix treatment, and this time Slaughterhouse’s Crooked I also brings some additional lyrical heat to the table on this 808 bass heavy production

Former Guerilla War Tactix member Matt Maddox releases his new solo album “Righteous Fury” on 25th February, the long awaited follow up to his debut solo release for Red Phone Records “Asylum Artistry” in 2010
The Kansas based emcee comes hard out the blocks on this single BARbarians produced by Hellzwind, where he’s also joined on the mic by Godilla, UG and Born Unique. The younger brother of Royce da 5 9 is no novice having started out in the city’s open mic circuit over 10 years ago, and first dropped some verses on the M.I.C. Vol 1 mixtape in 2003. Over the past 10 years he has toured the States, Canada and Europe with D12, Slaughterhouse and performed at shows with Slum Village, Rakim, Ghostface, Talib Kweli and Slick Rick.
Honing his craft live to international audiences and releasing multiple mixtapes including the “Sick ‘Em” series, as well as appearing on Royce’s albums “Street Hop” & “Success is Certain”, Kid Vishis has become one of the most respected lyricists of the next generation, and the album one of the most eagerly anticipated for many years. Production is courtesy of names such as Mr Porter & Freddie Foxxx, with the first single “Heaven” showcasing Vishis’ wordplay over beats by Nemesis
With UK and European tour plans already in the works for Spring 2014, Kid Vishis is going to be one to watch next year

In the main produced by Apex himself and fellow First and Last member OMeziah , the release is full of powerful lyricism and skilled wordplay, the trademarks of the best in UK hip hop over the decades.
The new single “A Meeting of the Continents” brings together the United States, UK and Africa in personnel and subject matter. Produced by DJ Fortune, Apex is joined by New Jersey’s Hasan Salaam and north London’s newest member of Triple Darkness, Iron Braydz. Fierce flows convey a strong sentiment from all three Emcees throughout, and compliment Fortune’s slick beat

London’s Apex Zero, one half of First and Last who describes his style as “neo-hardcore tru skool hip hop” came up through the city’s live scene, notably the End of the Weak and Speaker’s Corner events.
It’s only in recent years he’s turned his focus on the recording side, initially as part of First and Last and then releasing his mixtape “The Pulse of the Awakening” in 2012 ahead of his debut solo album “Reality Provoking Liberation” which releases on 28th October 2013.
This young emcee and producer has taken his time to study renowned figures in music and public life. With eclectic listening tastes that range from John Coltrane to Rage Against the Machine to Motown, he has been influenced by the lyricism of Tupac, Wu Tang, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, Nas and fellow British artists Skinnyman, Klashnekoff. With a personal interest in figures such as Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey & Huey Newton, and having studied socialist philosophy, politics and African history, his style is comparable to contemporaries such as Lowkey, Triple Darkness, Melanin 9 and Akala

Los Angeles (by way of Greensboro NC) emcee ethemadassassin releases his new Soul on Fire album on 17th September, the third solo LP from one half of the Veteran Assassins duo.
Coming up through NC’s rap battle scene during the Golden Era, the new single “80’s & 90’s” produced by UK beatsmith Sci Fi Stu speaks on these days. Anyone familiar with the sights and sounds of the time will recognize the fashions name-checked and lifestyle represented throughout.
Described in a recent album review “fired up by a dope reminiscing beat, the dreamy backdrop empowers Ethemadassassin to throwback to times gone by with inspiring effect” , the single is one for the Tru Skool heads through the generations.
The single was premiered today by the UK’s HHK Mag (aka Hip-Hop Kings) where he also gave an exclusive interview and insight into his days starting out as an artist during hip hop’s Golden Era, he speaks on the impact of the internet for artists by comparison to those early years, the current focus on 90’s fashions and culture happening now, opening for Immortal Technique and Wu Tang and of course his new album and working with international producers.
It’s a fascinating read for all those interested in the historical aspect of hip hop from the perspective of an artist who has lived through it and still performing and evolving his style to this day
Now based in Los Angeles since switching coasts from Greensboro NC – “American Gangster” Frank Lucas country – ethemadassassin is back with his first solo album in nearly 5 years
His previous album “Tomorrow Never Comes” included the single “Walk My Shoes” which reached #3 in the Rap Network Charts and the video for which was playlisted on the UK’s MTV Base and Flava TV
Since then he formed the hip hop duo “Veteran Assassins” with his long time sparring partner Veteran Eye, releasing 2 albums and touring the west coast with Project Blowed’s Kandi Cole, but he’s back in his own right with his firebrand lyricism on the new album “Soul on Fire” which releases on R Steel Entertainment on 17th September.
He’s reached out internationally, working with producers from France, UK, Japan and the States and the resulting 13 tracks are packed full of hard driving beats blended with soul, rock, reggae & turntablism. E’s lost none of the passion in his rhymes, and the wordplay is on point throughout.
