Just in, the latest international press coverage of the new hip hop album “Respect Is Earned Not Given” by NY State rapper / producer duo Tone Chop & Frost Gamble, the latter now relocated to Winnipeg, Canada.

Released on Friday September 29th through 22 Entertainment and available on various formats from mutiple stores worldwide including Amazon, iTunes, Bandcamp & Spotify

Guest artists include Kool G Rap, rap battling phenomenon DNA, Planet Asia, Canadian upcomer White Rhino, and Tragedy Khadafi with whom Frost releases the new “Rare Fabric” Ep on October 20th. One of the leading names in the UK hip hop scene for the past several years, north London’s Melanin 9 is set to release a new solo album “Old Pictures” in the Spring of 2017.

A member of the highly rated Triple Darkness crew, his position as one of the country’s most gifted lyricists is well established and he brings all of his verbal dexterity to the table in this new joint “Polaroid”. Produced by Californian duo Walterwarm and Cowode, it is the first single to be taken from the new album and features British upcomer Karl Sage.

Official video of the new single “Step Up” by NY State rapper Tone Chop and Winnipeg based producer Frost Gamble, filmed and directed by Big Drew Grafix.

It’s the second to be taken from the ex rap battle rivals’ EP “Veteran” out on November 18th through Seven 13 Music & Ent, and follows their tribute to Sean Price “Leave It Alone” which featured Ruste Juxx and Nobi.

With a little help from The A Team’s Mr T in the hook, Frost’s atmospheric production provides Chop with the backdrop to throw down challenges to all-comers through punchline filled verses.

Last week, Demetrius, Kenny and Julius from Horseshoe Gang dropped by the Inglewood studios of Homegrown Radio as guests of the HGR Live Show.

During the Long Beach group’s most in depth interview ever, they discussed a huge range of issues relating to the group directly and the wider world of hip hop and politics.

The interview began with the concept behind their album title “Anti-Trap Music” released earlier in April and their massive level of output over the years, including their Mixtape Monthly series which lasted a full year.

They explain this work ethic has its roots in a musical family background, and also explain their mother’s role in their education, the brothers never having attended public school and having often experienced homelessness.

They discuss last year’s rap battle with Funk Volume, provide an insight to their upcoming new album “4 Brothers”, and address the wider subject of why they haven’t stepped into the rap battle arena or pursued solo projects.

A debate follows as to how rappers are rated, what defines a lyricist given the multitude of styles, and how aware a younger generation will be of anything not currently the staple diet of mainstream radio or clubland.

The conversation turns political, addressing recent high profile cases of police brutality and how the options available at the US elections might help, if at all.

With the interview drawing to a close, the studio addresses the recent VH1 Hip Hop Honors for Female Rappers before the group reveal they will appear as judges on a new tv talent show “One Shot” due to be shown on B.E.T. from August 23rd.

Long Beach rap group Horseshoe Gang will be live in the Homegrown Studios tonight, Thursday July 21st, from 8pm PST as guests of the HGR Live Show.

They released their album “Anti-Trap Music” through Seven 13 Music & Entertainment on April 29th, and within the first day of release, Amazon had completely sold out their initial CD stock, and it charted Top 50 on iTunes in 15 different countries.

The group will be interviewed live on air tonight, and the show is interactive. Couple weeks back, Constant Deviants were in New York promoting their new album “Omerta” which released on June 28th.

They appeared as guests on various stations every night during their weeklong stay in the city, which began when they dropped in to the Sirius XM studios for DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control Show.

Broadcast live on Sunday June 26th, the video of rapper M.I.’s freestyle on the show, filmed by Bryan of The Beeshine, has just been published today on Youtube. Check it out

Another chance to listen back to Constant Deviants on last week’s East NY Radio show.

First broadcast live on Thursday June 30th, M.I. and DJ Cutt came through to Brooklyn to chop it up with PF Cuttin and co hosts Millz Murda and DJ Anthony Mace. They discuss their new album “Omerta” which dropped June 28th and their policy of releasing on vinyl through their own Six2Six Records label, DJ Cutt gives an insight as to the production process and then M.I. delivers a killer freestyle.

Last week M.I. and DJ Cutt from Constant Deviants were in New York for a busy schedule of radio interviews promoting their new album “Omerta” which released on Tuesday June 28th through Six2Six Records.

It is being distributed worldwide on vinyl and CD formats from July 15th through Fatbeats, and is available to buy now as a digital download direct from the label’s BANDCAMP

On Wednesday June 29th, having been in Brooklyn to guest on DJ Bazarro’s Beatminerz Radio show, they then travelled through to New Jersey to drop in on DJ C Reality, Greystoke, Mateo and Dave Rock at Flip The Script Radio.

The show broadcasts live every Wednesday from 8pm – 11pm EST, and the stream uploaded to their Mixcloud – check it out
