In the lead up to the release of his debut album “Timing is Everything” we linked up Detroit’s Kid Vishis with HipHop DX contributor Mike Trampe recently.

In the feature published on 24th July, they spoke about the thought process and choice of producers for the album, growing up in the Detroit scene as Eminem and D12 emerged globally and how the city has influenced him to become the artist he is today, and the experience and learning curve that touring in the UK with D12 & his brother Royce da 5’9″ in 2009 brought.

They then discuss his own future plans, his thoughts on the future for Detroit’s hip hop & rap scene, and speaks on the rap battle scene and specifically the Total Slaughter event he attended in early July.

Detroit MC Kid Vishis has had a busy time recently, speaking with various members of the international media & press in the lead up to the release of his debut album “Timing is Everything” on 22nd July 2014.

Two of these have just been published recently, the first of which is with British online multi genre magazine AAA Music.

In this interview, part of their AAA Approved series, they ask him about what first inspired him to first pick up the mic and his releases and tours to date. They also talk about artists he’s feeling now, what unique qualities he brings to the game and his aspirations for the future.

North London rapper & producer Iron Braydz sat down with British multi genre online music magazine Subba Cultcha recently ahead of the release of his new “Verbal sWARdz” EP which is available now from his BANDCAMP

The magazine’s contributor Ben Bradford spoke with the Triple Darkness member about the origins of the EP’s title, discussed the reasons behind the Emcee’s earlier inclination to give up music and the factors which influenced his decision to continue, they talk through specific tracks on the EP and working with Prince Po, his time in the States and his plans for his future album scheduled to be released later in 2014.

Long Beach rapper (currently resident in Kansas) Matt Maddox sat down with American online publication Face 2 Face Magazine recently to discuss his early days, starting out in Long Beach and then moving to Hawaii and the reasons behind that where he speaks openly about a number of family issues

As an artist who first picked up the pen at only 10 years old, he discusses the influences west coast and east coast hip hop artists have had on him, whether Dre, Snoop & NWA, or Nas and Wu Tang, and how a fusion of styles has led to him developing what he describes as a mix of “hardcore street rap & underground”

He discusses the transition of the politically focused content of his first album Asylum Artistry to a more personal perspective in the current release “Righteous Fury” and his desire to “empower people – not just be another number”
