Continues to be a busy time for Detroit MC Kid Vishis who released his debut album “Timing is Everything on 22nd July
He has spoken with many members of the international media recently, and two interviews have just been published by Hip Hop Vibe on America’s east coast and Hot New Hip Hop in Los Angeles.
With Hip Hop Vibe, he discussed the artists who have influenced him the most and the effect being the younger brother of Royce da 5’9″ has had on his career. He names his top 3 freestyle rappers, talks about the highlights of his career and the experience of touring the UK & Europe with D12 in 2009, and of course goes into detail about his new album.
For Hot New Hip Hop, he broke down the writing process of the album, the difference in approach from releasing one of his “Sick ‘Em” mixtapes compared to an official studio album, how he feels he differs from his brother Royce da 5’9″ in terms of lyrical style and which rappers and producers he would like to collaborate with in the future. He also speaks on the criticism of rap & hip hop for its perceived glorification of violence and degradation of women

North London rapper & producer Iron Braydz sat down with British multi genre online music magazine Subba Cultcha recently ahead of the release of his new “Verbal sWARdz” EP which is available now from his BANDCAMP
The magazine’s contributor Ben Bradford spoke with the Triple Darkness member about the origins of the EP’s title, discussed the reasons behind the Emcee’s earlier inclination to give up music and the factors which influenced his decision to continue, they talk through specific tracks on the EP and working with Prince Po, his time in the States and his plans for his future album scheduled to be released later in 2014.
The Verbal sWARdz EP received widespread international media coverage and laid down a strong marker for what’s to come later in the year. Largely self produced, it features Prince Po, Sean Price, Phat Kat, Triple Darkness, Kyza, Skriblah and a guest appearance from Kiss FM’s DJ Shortee Blitz.

London’s Broken Soul Boy is the latest to run the rule over the new album “Soul on Fire” by Los Angeles based emcee ethemadassassin (originally out of Greensboro NC)
Hard on the heels of a weekend when Choice FM London’s legenadry DJ 279 was going in hard with E’s singles Tiger Blade and Can’t Get Enough, the new review picks up the baton of support for this artist who started out in North Carolina’s rap battle scene in the 90’s, released two previous solo albums, moved to LA to form Veteran Assassins, and is now enjoying trans – Atlantic support for his 3rd solo LP.
