Having released a new movie “Swiss Banks” to Youtube with their SWC affiliates in Switzerland in the past couple of weeks, the Baltimore & New Jersey duo have also just completed the filming of a new trilogy of freestyles. The “3Stylez Series” shows the pair performing live and direct, with the first of these, “Heavy Artillery”, launched today as part of a feature published by the UK’s online Shout 4 Music

In the interview, the pair discuss the running of their own label, the challenges faced to remain prolific and how they have maintained a high level of output over the years, they give their thoughts on the new Tidal streaming service, and outline their touring plans as well as the thought process behind the new album

Buggs-Shout4Music

Cincinnati hip hop MC Buggs tha Rocka sat down with the UK’s online multi genre magazine Shout 4 Music recently to discuss his new album “Scattered Thoughts of an American Poet” which releases on 10th December 2014.

Th feature delves into the recording process, and working with producers such as !llmind, Jake One, Hop Trax and Sal Dali, and having guest appearances from Tanya Morgan, MOOD, Chuck Inglish and Piakhan. They also address his early days starting out in music, ultimately coming up through the levels to receive the title “Best Hip Hop Artist” at this year’s Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.

The article was published today, 11th November 2014, with the premiere of his new concept video for the track “Angel of Death” which was produced by Hop Trax and features Piakhan.

In the feature written in both French & English, they discuss his new album “Timing is Everything” which released on 22nd July, he speaks about life growing up around artists such as his elder brother Royce da 5’9″ and Eminem, their body of work and the experience gained by touring with D12.

They then discuss the art of lyricism in hip hop today and the Total Slaughter event in NYC which he attended and his thoughts on appearing at their rap battles in the future, he speaks on the Detroit scene and artists he rates as the “ones to watch”, producers he’d like to work with and tells of his meeting with J Dilla back in the day.

Ahead of the release of his new EP “Verbal sWARdz” on 14th April, Iron Braydz gives one of his most in depth interviews to date to British online publication NIJI Magazine.

He speaks on his move from Nigeria to Kilburn in north London at a young age, the early influence of hip hop in his life and what inspired him to become an artist, his earliest live shows & hosting events for DJ Premier, Joell Ortiz and RZA, working with UK producers Lewis Parker and Chemo and Stateside artists Sean Price, DJ Ronin and Sav Killz, his growing support in Europe, becoming the newest member of Triple Darkness, his role in a new independent film “Night Bus” and the recording process in putting the new EP together

HIPHOPDX-freestyle

As part of their Hollywood Freestyle sessions, Hip Hop DX swung by LA to call in on Veteran Assassins and had ethemadassassin bless the mic in this new video.

The emcee, originally from Greensboro NC, dropped a smokin album “Soul on Fire” in September which included some bangin joints such as “80’s & 90’s”, “Can’t Get Enough” and “Tiger Blade”. The album was particularly well received by the British media with a host of titles reviewing and providing feature coverage

He will be launching a new video for the track “Elements” taken from the album in the week beginning 6th January 2014, so look out for that one!

It is packed full of hard hittin rhymes, fierce lyricism & wordplay and real street tales as you’d expect from a veteran in the game who started out in the rap battle scene in the 90’s

Some quality production too courtesy of Edinburgh’s Sci Fi Stu, France’s Kyo Itachi and both North Carolina and Cali are repped’ with beats from Wonder Boy, Akthentik Works, Devaron Benjamin and Gav Beats – a mix of classic soul, hip hop & rock with a healthy inclusion of turntablism make this well worth a listen for all hip hop heads who appreciate the realism

UK multi genre online Hit The Floor Magazine have just conducted an interview with E where he speaks on his early days in the game and his thoughts on the scene now compared to back in the day, his new album, the meaning behind his name and also his new joint “H.T.G.” which was also premiered today by HTF.
